Applied Riskhandler - Team Expansion
Exp - 5+yrs
Background:
Applied Riskhandler is an underwriting platform for MGA's and Insurers. It provides for the specific requirements of insurance product providers, rather than brokers. It provides a rich solution for building and maintaining insurance products, for quoting and issuing cover, generating complex documents, risk selection, risk enrichment, claims handling, accounting, renewal workflow and M.I./Reporting. The platform integrates with Applied Ireland's broker systems, so that Riskhandler hosted insurance products are made available to brokers via their Applied broker management systems.
The platform is mature, proven (and popular), having been live in the Ireland market since 2012. However, we have a roadmap of new features and functionality to add over time, and to deepen the integration between Riskhandler and Applied's broker systems. In May 2023, we launched our new "Product Builder" toolset on the platform, which accelerates our speed to market for new customer product builds. That toolset will continue to evolve and mature over time. As of early 2025, this new toolset is hosting at least six new insurance products in the market, plus several more in the pipeline.
Demand for Riskhandler in Ireland is very strong. We have a healthy pipeline of new customer project opportunity.
Riskhandler is an asp.net browser application. Most of the solution is built on .net framework webforms, with vb.net code behind. Recently, we've added a .net framework Web API project (C#) to the solution, to provide RESTful API functionality for our customers, and for API integration with our Applied Broker systems. The product is hosted on Azure.
Expansion:
Due to high demand for the product, we need to expand our team, and fill the roles described below.
Onboarding:
The new team will learn the product and codebase by delivering on customer change requests initially, progressing to new feature/product roadmap engineering in time. Colleagues in Ireland will support and mentor the new team, as we build experience and throughput.
