Job Overview:

The Sw Eng Assistant managerposition in the BA HBS V&V organization reports to the Director BA V&V and is responsible to spearhead the development and implementation of comprehensive Functional test strategy along with automation and simulation strategy across BA HBS – Smart city and System Integration RT’s  .  Our main customers include the Honeywell Engineering and technology organization and Technical Support Groups.  We provide test services for research, development, qualification, certification, testing of components and systems.  

This leadership role is responsible for providing best quality test deliverables ; demonstrating test ownership; aligning test strategies to meet customer requirements; developing our test resources and capabilities; and driving standard work of the test methodology, equipment, process, and practices.   This role will play as technical reviewer and technical decision driver for test operations of multiple test teams.   This role requires close coordination of with cross LOB Test and development leads and architects. This role needs to manage the test team, work on Individual development plan, manage TRR, resource grooming and test program management.

We are seeking candidates with demonstrated very strong People management and technical capability broad expertise in large Systems testing, Knowledge of Legacy and latest technologies and system interoperability. Understanding of various platforms and third party s/w qualification, virtualization along with  strong problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Develop and execute a long-term Functional, performance and automation, simulation testing strategy for the SBG.
• Lead and mentor a team of domain and  automation/simulation testing professionals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate test scenarios and ensure 100% coverage with strong automation and simulation testing pipeline in the product development lifecycle.
• Design and maintain test strategies and automation/simulation framework to support various testing phases.
• Drive continuous improvement in testing practices by leveraging the latest technologies and methodologies.
• Lead and ensure the creation, execution, and maintenance of test deliverables to ensure robust product releases with best quality.
• Analyze test results, report on testing progress and issues, and make recommendations for improvements.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Help achieve LOB AOP commitments trough timely delivery of product.
• Drive quality improvement initiatives and Innovation.
• Drive Customer issues resolution and Technical support, helping quick resolution of site issues.
• Drive SBG and Cross SBG initiatives as a part of V&V COE.

The Role may require 10-20% domestic and internation travel including visits to customer sites.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science/Electronics/ Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in system function/ automation-simulation testing or Development  within a large-scale enterprise environment.
• Strong technical leadership skills with the ability to Technically guide and develop a high-performing testing team.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Candidate having worked in projects related to Process/Domain/Operations/Project Engineering/Maintenance knowledge in building domain, will have added advantage.
• Candidate should have knowledge on the overall Engineering lifecycle of product development.
• He / She should have Good Knowledge on Virtualization (VMWare)
• Exposure to Test and Requirement Management Tools such as JIRA, Xray is must.
• Should be able to work with PO and Offering teams in driving new project requirements,
• Customer centricity and ability to drive  business and customer engagement. 

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Distributed control systems, Safety systems, legacy control systems testing environments.   BACnet,Modbus TCP/IP & RTU , OPC DA/UA , MQTT, REST API’s
• Customer projects and hands-on troubleshooting experience for legacy systems.
• Knowledge of Product life cycles and managing program of projects.
• Familiarity with performance and Capacity Testing.
• Experience with Legacy DCS systems and System Migrations.
• Experience in creating Test architecture
• Familiarity in AI adoption and working/creating AI agents
