Job Description
Lead SAP security initiatives at MM to design, build, test and maintain roles and authorizations across various SAP Systems (S/4 HANA, Fiori, HANA DB, SAC, ECC, BW, XI, DSP, Solman etc)
Manage SAP security aspect of multiple ongoing and new development projects through consulting, design, implement and production support.
Perform feasibility assessments for new technologies by doing Proof of Concepts
Built and maintained custom Authorization objects for securing custom t-codes and programs
Responsible for troubleshooting and solving highly technical and complex problems across the SAP landscape as it relates to security authorizations; recommends improvements to strategy, application usage, or process, applying knowledge of the business processes in various functional areas with overall security requirements.
Liaise with SAP functional teams (Basis, FI, BI, ABAP, PI,) for technical support.
Performs security reviews of the SAP systems and participates in audit and compliance activities. Responsible for security notes across our landscape.
Perform security support for large landscape in Dev, QA, Pre-production and Production environments.
Rotation of on-call between teams 24x7.
Ensure secure, compliant, and efficient access to SAP systems by managing user roles, authorizations, and system protections aligning with company’s policies
Have strong understanding of S/4 HANA, HANA DB, SAC (Security Analytical Cloud), Datasphere, PAPM, ECC, BI, PI systems authorizations concepts.
Experience with building SAP S/4 Fiori roles, authorizations, catalogs/groups and spaces and pages.
Experience with design and building of HANA database security roles with privileges.
Experience in upgrade of security role from ECC to S/4 HANA system
Knowledge of Security practices, processes, and issues. Knowledge of system life cycle methodologies and procedures; ability to monitor and tune the SAP user roles and system security parameters; experience providing 24x7 support to a global enterprise and very strong communications skills and follow-up skills.
Strong customer service skills and ability to diplomatically manage client expectations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills
Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology or related discipline, equivalent experience acceptable. At least 15 years’ in-depth experience with SAP authorizations is required.
