Job Description
Job Summary
The Operations Project Management Office (OPMO) is seeking an experienced Business Project Manager to lead business driven transformation initiatives across US Insurance Operations. In this role, you will act as the primary business execution lead, accountable for translating strategic objectives into measurable operational outcomes. You will partner closely with business leaders, technology teams, and external partners to design, execute, and embed changes to processes, operating models, policies, and ways of working. This role is best suited for candidates with a strong background in operations, insurance business transformation, or enterprise change, rather than purely technical or IT delivery project management.
Key Responsibilities
Business Ownership & Strategy Execution
- Serve as the end-to-end business project lead for mid to high complexity insurance operations initiatives, owning scope, outcomes, and execution strategy.
- Translate business strategies and problem statements into clear delivery plans with defined success metrics and benefits realization targets.
- Partner with Sponsors and Portfolio Leads to ensure initiatives remain aligned to enterprise priorities and operational objectives.
Discovery & Planning Leadership
- Lead business discovery activities, including definition of:
- Business objectives and success measures
- Process and operating impacts
- Change, adoption, and readiness considerations
- Develop and own key business planning artifacts such as project charters, cost benefit analyses, high level roadmaps, and resource approaches.
Cross Functional Execution
- Drive execution across business, operations, technology, vendors, and corporate partners, influencing without authority to maintain momentum and alignment.
- Coordinate dependencies across multiple teams and initiatives, proactively managing constraints and tradeoffs.
- Ensure delivery plans account for both solution implementation and business readiness.
Change, Adoption & Operational Readiness
- Lead the business change strategy, including:
- Process redesign and documentation
- Role clarity and operating model adjustments
- Training, communications, and adoption planning
- Ensure changes are fully embedded into day-to-day operations and supported by appropriate governance and controls.
Risk, Issue & Decision Management
- Identify and manage business, operational, and change risks, escalating decisions and tradeoffs with clear recommendations.
- Maintain transparency through clear status reporting, risk/issue management, and executive ready communications.
Outcomes, Benefits & Continuous Improvement
- Own delivery of intended business outcomes, tracking progress against KPIs and benefits realization commitments.
- Confirm achievement of objectives and facilitate formal business acceptance and readiness sign off.
- Lead lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement of OPMO practices and business delivery capabilities.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 10+ years of experience leading business or operations focused initiatives, preferably within Insurance or Financial Services
- Demonstrated success delivering business outcomes, including process change, operating readiness, and adoption
- Experience working in a Global Delivery / GBS environment, supporting US based stakeholders strongly preferred
- Prior PMO experience a plus, with comfort tailoring governance and artifacts based on initiative complexity
- PMP, Agile, or equivalent certifications welcome but not required; emphasis is placed on business leadership and results
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with senior business stakeholders
- Willingness to work US time zone shifts as required
