As a Sr. Sales Compensation Analyst on the Comp Admin team, you will run commissions administration from start to finish for a large global group of sellers, so they can trust that they are paid accurately and on time. You will own a large payee portfolio with no supervision needed, from plan rollout through calculation, payroll, and follow-up support. You will catch issues before they reach the field and keep every step audit-ready. You will also use AI and automation every day to make our work faster, more accurate, and easier to scale as Databricks grows.
The impact you will have:- Own commissions administration for a large payee portfolio with no errors: user setup, plan distribution, input processing, calculation, and payment.
- Deliver plan rollout and payout accurately and on time every cycle, including tracking ICPW acceptance and preparing data that feeds payroll and accounting deadlines.
- Resolve payee and partner questions quickly and fully, so issues are settled the first time without escalations. Run rep training and enablement sessions as needed.
- Keep your portfolio fully compliant with SOX and audit requirements by following controls with discipline, documenting clearly, and keeping evidence reproducible.
- Find discrepancies, exceptions, and control gaps early (for example, wrong credits, quota mismatches, or cap and accelerator errors), trace the root cause in the data, and drive the fix with Sales Ops, Payroll, and Accounting.
- Make recurring workflows faster, more reliable, and easier to repeat by improving documentation, simplifying handoffs, and cutting rework.
- Use AI to improve recurring work such as validations, reconciliations, and responses to comp questions. Build repeatable approaches that others on the team can adopt.
- Help the team grow by mentoring new hires on tools, processes, and best practices, and by referring strong candidates.
- 5+ years of hands-on sales compensation administration, including user setup, plan distribution, calculation and payment, comp questions, and rep training.
- Advanced Xactly skills, including administration, reporting, and troubleshooting, with the ability to resolve system issues on your own.
- Advanced Excel and Google Workspace skills for complex modeling, data analysis, and reconciliation.
- A solid grasp of SaaS go-to-market compensation models (commit vs. consumption, quotas, OTI, accelerators, overlays, SPIFFs, MBOs) and how plan mechanics shape seller behavior.
- Experience working under SOX or similar audit controls, with accurate, well-documented work and clean audit trails.
- Strong analytical judgment: you investigate patterns, find root causes, and turn data into practical recommendations.
- Comfort using AI tools and LLMs in daily work, plus the judgment to check outputs for accuracy before relying on them.
- Clear communication and teamwork across time zones with global partners in Sales Ops, Payroll, Accounting, and Sales leadership.
