Role Overview

The Sr Operations Finance Analyst analyzes financial information related to product offerings, including cost of sales, product margins, and productivity. You will partner with operations and plant leadership to evaluate cost development, average pricing, margin and cost ratio analysis, and cost reduction opportunities while supporting accurate reporting and strong financial control.

What will you do?

  • Analyze cost of sales, product margins, average pricing, and cost ratios to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and operational analysis to support plant management and business decision-making.
  • Perform expenditure analysis and provide clear recommendations to help reduce costs and improve productivity.
  • Support month-end close activities, including financial adjustments, reconciliations, and operational accounting support.
  • Partner with supply chain, production, and other cross-functional teams to review inventory accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and strengthen reporting.
  • Contribute to process improvement efforts that enhance internal controls, consistency, and efficiency across finance operations.
  • Ensure financial analysis and reporting are aligned with GAAP and company policy.

  • Work as one team with accounting, operations, and leadership stakeholders to resolve issues quickly and remove obstacles for the business.
  • Apply disciplined month-end processes, financial controls, and GAAP-based analysis to maintain consistency and reliability.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 6+ years of finance or accounting experience, ideally within a manufacturing or operations environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret cost of sales, margins, productivity, and variance trends.
  • Experience preparing financial reports, forecasts, and cost analysis for business stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP, month-end close activities, and inventory-related financial processes.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate across functions.
  • Strong PC skills, including practical experience with OneStream.

  • Experience with standard costing, inventory reserves, or plant-level cost accounting.
  • Experience in a multi-plant or shared-services environment.
  • MBA, CMA, or another relevant professional finance qualification.
