The primary responsibility for this role is to partner across SC Industrial Engineering, Operations, and other cross functional teams to drive Network performance including productivity, accuracy, capacity, and efficiency. This role's responsibilities include solution development for engineering problems and project management as well as leading direct or indirect resources as assigned. Additionally, the responsibilities include business analysis, budgeting support, facility layout, product flow, and change management. While performing these responsibilities, the individual will conduct data collection, analysis, leverage engineering tools, and have frequent engagement with multiple stakeholders
Responsibility Statements
• Manages complex, multimillion-dollar capital and/or expense projects that impact the entire SC Distribution Network. This include all aspects of the project management life cycle with support from engineering leadership as needed for larger projects.• Manages indirect and direct resources as required.• Engaging frequent communication with appropriate stakeholders, including key internal customer.• Driving the alignment and validating assumptions related to the business need.• Ensuring proper closure and handoff of any process developed• Realization of expected benefits• Analyzes elements of existing DC network to include:
- new processes and equipment
- New item handling procedures
- New storage methodologies and equipment
- New and improved allocation, picking, and replenishment strategies
- Acting as a liaison between logistics and distribution operations
- Performing analysis on space costs to be used to make packaging and channel decision
- Leads and develops engineers assigned as direct reports and/or project team members
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field and 3 years' experience in Industrial Engineering
or• Masters' Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field and 1 year experience in Industrial Engineering
and• 3 years' experience in time and motion studies, engineered labor standards development and implementation• 3 years' experience with a warehouse management system• 3 years' experience managing a cross-functional project from conception to implementation
Preferred Qualifications
• 3 years' experience in eCommerce fulfillment operations or support
• 3 years' experience in retail distribution with an emphasis on a performance based culture• 3 years' experience in facility layout and project/capital justification• 3 years' with a proven experience managing multiple and competing priorities
