Your Impact
The primary purpose of this role is to lead the planning, development and execution of category plan strategies for a portfolio of Lowe's indirect spend. This position works with internal business partners to align sourcing initiatives and activities to the business goals and objectives. The position will direct the sourcing team resources and engage key cross functional stakeholders on execution of category plans including sourcing execution, contract negotiation, market intelligence and analytics, and supplier management.
What You Will Do
- Develops short to mid-term (1-3 years) strategy of overall Category Plans
- Builds and maintains key relationships with internal business customers, legal and finance partners at the director level
- Directs and assigns sourcing resources to continually update and execute against Category Plan
- Sets category strategies, goals and KPIs to optimize spend, reduce risk and improve supplier performance
- Influences business partner strategy and decision making through market intel and data insights
- Provides leadership, coaching, training and development of sourcing professionals
- Creates consistent sourcing and RFP standars for outcomes and deliverable across the business teams
- Drives ongoing review of Spend Under Management to maximize sourcing impact to the business
- Develops and presents impactful presentations influencing business trategies and decision making
- Develops and implements supplier segmentation and supplier management strategies for key suppliers
- Proactively identifies industry insights and new supplier capabilities to leapfrog the competition, build supply chain resilience, and manage market and supplier risks
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree BA/BS or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or science plus 7 years of experience
- 7+ years business experience
- 5+ years sourcing experience
- Experience directly or indirectly leading teams
- Negotiating complex contracts
- Experience owning/developing complex project plans including strategy development
- Experience managing cross-functional project teams and resources
- Expert level PowerPoint and presentation skills
Preferred Skills/Education
- Master's degree MBA, JD, MS, ME
- Conflict management, relationship building and coaching developing sourcing talent
