Accountabilities:
- Elicits, analyzes, and documents business and technical software development needs for strategic projects for the Annuity Policy Administration System (ALIP), coordinating comprehensive needs and potential interdependencies.
- Supports medium-to-large complex projects involving ambiguity and risk encompassing multiple cross-functional business areas.
- Develops critical Statement of Work and requirement documentation; identifies data needs and solves risk data needs.
- Conducts Sprint review sessions and drives development.
- Develops critical requirements for the custom Risk/Derivative Hedging platform.
- Reviews QA testing plans to ensure that existing and proposed software applications meet IT standards, as well as business and customer requirements.
- Facilitates, prioritizes, and proposes business process re-designs to maximize process results.
- Fosters relationships across multiple business and technology areas.
- Participates in vendor requests for information or proposals (RFI/RFPs).
- Increases business acumen and awareness of best practices to continuously improve business analysis capabilities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related field
- 3 years of experience as a Sr. Business Systems Analyst, Module Lead, Software Engineer, or similar duties under a different job title.
- Experience to include 3 years in each of the following:
- Software development within annuity and/or retirement savings insurance industry;
- Data process modelling
- Mocking data interfaces
- Project tracking and reporting
- U/I data interface mock-ups;
- WinScp
- Team Track;
- ALIP Annuity platform;
- ALIP Data Structure;
- ALIP Configuration tools and designs;
- JIRA
- Confluence;
- Business Requirements Analysis and Gap Analysis;
- Java
- XSLT
- XSD
- XML
- AWS
- Data requirements gathering and analysis;
- Facilitating/participating in Scrum Sprints and Retros; and
- Implementing under SAFe Agile Framework.
$144,414 to $154,000 USD ANNUAL
Annual Salary for this role is market competitive. Actual salary for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Depending on the role, a discretionary bonus plan or variable sales incentive may be included.
