Job OverviewWe are seeking a Sr. Business Strategy Manager to be accountable for shaping and operationalizing the long-term vision for skills enablement at T-Mobile. The role serves as a bridge between strategy, systems, and people—guiding senior partners, owning cross-functional alignment, and embedding skills-first thinking into the very architecture of workforce planning, career mobility, and capability development. This person will use deep problem-solving and subject matter expertise to effectively frame complex problems, present thoughtful recommendations, and guide strategic and operational decisions impacting business growth. This role uses data from internal and external sources to perform detailed analysis, identify trends and define fields of opportunity for the line of business/function.
** This is a hybrid role (3 days/in office) and can be located in Bellevue, WA or Overland Park, KS **Job Responsibilities:
- Define the multi-year vision for enterprise skills transformation aligned with workforce agility, internal mobility, and AI readiness.
- Influence executives across HR, business units, and technology functions to embed skill-based practices in operating models and talent strategy. Establish frameworks that link skills to performance, progression, and capability modeling across multiple functions.
- Serve as the point of contact for external skills vendors, managing technical configurations, roadmap alignment, and long-term success metrics.
- Own the taxonomy strategy, ensuring it is future-proof, inclusive, and adaptive. Serve as the strategic integrator across teams, translating vision into roadmaps and governance that enable sustainable scale.
- Influences/design vision of Skills team. Perform analyses, extract and analyze data, and take on ambiguous and complex problems. Translates analysis into meaningful business insights. Builds potential options and recommendations around those insights to drive decisions.
- Takes a leading role on projects. Fosters partnerships across teams to develop comprehensive understanding of critical business needs, identifies key issues, and structures problem-solving approaches accordingly. Effectively collaborates and communicates cross-functionally to build consensus and influence strategic vision.
- Constructs executive-level presentations, crafting a story out of the numbers to present analytical findings in a clear, concise and decision-impacting manner. Influences leadership through fact-based analysis.
- Mentors and guides team members. Maintain knowledge of strategic frameworks, industry trends, and corporate and customer drivers to improve, reengineer or maintain company performance.
- Builds financial and other decision-making models. Uses models to perform scenario and sensitivity analysis to enhance decision making across a range of options. Synthesizes recommendations for prioritization of resources to all levels of the organization.
- Bachelor's Degree Human Resources, Business Management or related area of study or equivalent years of experience. Master's/Advanced Degree MBA a plus.
- 7-10 years experience in framing complex problems, identifying key issues that impact business decisions and providing data driven recommendations.
- 7-10 years experience in developing financial models and performing financial and operating analysis and reporting, including analyzing complex data.
- Management consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking experience preferred ; Experience managing talent technology systems, Workday preferred, and vendor management.
- Ability to frame problems, use strategic frameworks, develop strategies
- Ability to build financial models and develop qualitative analysis, perform sensitivity analysis
- Project management experience, engaging and getting consensus from partners, creating roadmaps and project plans. Ability to think a few steps ahead, to lay out thoughtful and achievable project plans in a disciplined manner. Understand how to engage others and what information and data is needed to achieve goals.
- Ability to synthesize analysis into succinct, executive-ready written, visual, and verbal communications. Ability to articulate rationale and present in front of senior leaders.

Base Pay Range: $113,100 - $204,000Corporate Bonus Target: 20%
