THE OPPORTUNITY
The Sr. Advanced Project Engineer (Operator Competency) will lead to implement projects and assist in onsite user training as necessary. The candidate should have a very strong career interest in Process Simulation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The role will have a broad set of responsibilities encompassing the following:
- Responsible for providing consulting/executing project with team for end-to-end design & delivery for Refinery, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and other customers
- Manage the development of functional and concept technical design specifications
- Provide technical guidance to the team working on project
- Ensures implementation is reviewed with respect to project standards and quality documents & final deliverable meets the functional specifications of the end user
- Identify, advise, and incorporate modifications in simulation configuration.
- Should be able to anticipate the project risk and look for mitigation plan
- Responsible for conducting project reviews with Customer & Interface with customers for technical queries
- Strong understanding of Refinery Process and & Critical Section. Having hands on Simulation experience in modelling Reactors, Furnaces, Turbines etc.
- Participation in quality process reviews.
- Ensure completion of projects on schedule and within the allocated budget.
- Drive product improvement, productivity & Team skill enhancement.
- Should able to manage multiple projects/program and strong team management skill.
- Should have knowledge of Estimation, technical proposal review and support to sales team during biding phase
YOU MUST HAVE
- At least 12+ years of experience in Simulation for refining/petrochemical process and minimum 2 yrs exp in Plant operations
- Strong domain knowledge & Chemical Engineering principles and operations.
- Good communication, writing & presentation skills.
- Knowledge of DCS and ESD will be added advantage.
- Good team handling skills.
- Strong ability to maintain good working relationship with customers.
WE VALUE
- Simulation experience in either ASPEN/HYSIS/UNISIM both in Dynamic and Steady Sate simulation
- Experience in deploying Operator Training Simulator in an operating company.
- Experience in plant operations.
- Experience in plant startup & commissioning
- Configuration experience working on control systems, DCS / PLC / Safety Systems.
- Advanced post graduate degree in a technical discipline.
Skills Required
