We are seeking a highly experienced KPI & Visualization Lead to drive the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-wide KPI frameworks, performance management dashboards, and advanced visualization solutions. This role will focus on delivering Production, Maintenance, Reliability, Equipment, and Energy Performance KPIs for customers in the Refining, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, and Mining industries.
The successful candidate will provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design to implementation, deployment, and customer adoption
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Delivery
- Lead end-to-end project execution, ensuring successful delivery from solution design through project closure.
- Serve as the technical lead for KPI development, performance management solutions, dashboards, reports, mobility applications, notifications, events, and portal-based analytics.
- Define, design, and implement Production, Maintenance, Equipment, Reliability, and Energy KPIs across multiple process units and business functions.
- Translate business and functional requirements into detailed technical specifications and coordinate implementation with integration and reporting teams.
- Design data transformation, aggregation, and calculation logic using data collected from multiple enterprise systems.
Analytics & Visualization
- Design and develop enterprise performance management dashboards and reporting solutions using industry-leading visualization platforms.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify meaningful insights and drive data-driven decision-making.
- Ensure adherence to enterprise visualization standards and best practices.
- Develop intuitive, impactful, and user-friendly visualizations that effectively communicate complex operational and business information.
- Apply analytical techniques and data mining approaches to uncover trends, patterns, and performance improvement opportunities.
Customer & Project Management
- Prepare project documentation, including Functional Design Specifications (FDS), Detailed Design Specifications (DDS), and related deliverables.
- Conduct customer workshops, demonstrations, and end-user training sessions.
- Track project progress against schedules and communicate status updates to stakeholders regularly.
- Manage customer expectations while ensuring delivery within approved scope, budget, and timelines.
- Plan and coordinate engineering activities to achieve project milestones.
- Proactively resolve customer issues and drive timely escalation when required.
Ensure compliance with organizational standards, methodologies, and quality practices.
YOU MUST HAVE
- 12-15 years’ experience in designing and implementing Production, Maintenance, Energy and Reliability Key performance Indicator for refining, petrochemical, mining, power, or other chemical industries
- Prior experience of delivering large Enterprise level Operations, Maintenance and Performance management dashboard
- Designing and implementing Visualizations and Reports using various visualization tools Microsoft - Power BI, Dundas.
- Excellent Expertise in SQL, SSAS, SSIS can independently mine data to translate Business data needs into creative visualizations
- Strong hold on MDX concepts.
- Able to apply different mining techniques to build high-quality visualizations
- Prior experience of delivering large Enterprise level Operations, Maintenance and Performance management dashboard
- Excellent understanding and knowledge of the Equipment, Energy, and process Monitoring KPI’s in the Refining and Chemical Process industries.
- Able to Identify, define and build KPI for equipment, process and Energy parameters for various process units and Departments.
- Knowledge of Refinery Operations, Refinery Configuration and business Process involved right from Crude purchase to Product Dispatch operations,
- Experience in implementing production, Maintenance, Quality KPI using solutions like AVEVA Insight, Siemens Opcenter Intelligence, Honeywell Uniformance KPI, KPI manager etc.,
- Experience in writing SQL queries and stored procedures
- Working experience of integration with other systems using OPC, OLEDB, ODBC and web services.
Industry Experience
- 12 to 15 years of experience in designing and implementing Production, Maintenance, Reliability, Equipment, and Energy KPIs within the refining, petrochemical, power, mining, or process industries.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale Enterprise Performance Management and Operational Intelligence solutions.
- Strong understanding of refinery operations and business processes, including crude procurement, production, quality management, maintenance, energy management, and product dispatch.
Technical Expertise
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing visualizations and dashboards using platforms such as Microsoft Power BI, Dundas BI, or equivalent visualization tools.
- Advanced SQL skills, including complex query development, data modeling, stored procedures, and performance optimization.
- Strong expertise in SSAS, SSIS, and multidimensional data modeling concepts.
- In-depth knowledge of MDX and analytical calculations.
- Experience defining and implementing KPIs for equipment performance, process efficiency, reliability, maintenance, and energy management.
