The Historian and Alarm Management Lead is responsible for leading -design, Installation and configuration of process data historian, visualizations and Alarm Management projects for the Refining, Oil and Gas, Mining and Chemical Industries

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple Historian and Alarm Management Projects
  • Lead should deliver end to end project delivery from User Requirement understanding, functional design to implementation and handling all dependencies and constraints.
  • Lead customer meetings including KOM, design workshops, training, and testing.
  • Track and manage progress as per schedule. Report progress to all stakeholders on regular basis.
  • Manage customer expectations and ensure delivery within budget and timelines.
  • Plan the engineering activities and ensure progress as per plan.
  • Develop design documents- FDS, DDS, test procedures and training manuals.
  • Translate functional requirements to technical requirements and work with cross functional team.
  • Help drive business stakeholder adoption of visualization-driven decision making
  • Implement solutions with adherence to OT & IT network standards
  • Develop data visualization graphics, trends, reports that synthesize data concepts into clear communications for key business stakeholders.
Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 12-15 years’ experience in leading and implementing historian and Alarm Management applications projects using any of the applications like PHD, OSI soft PI , Aspen IP21, Honeywell Dynamo Documentation & Enforcement (D&E), Metrics & Reporting (M&R) or Exaquantum -Alarm Reporting and Analytics, Alarm Master Database and Sequence of Events, Aveva ProcessVue SOE, Analyzer and Guardian, Matrikon Alarm management or PAS PlantState Suite, Emerson AgileOps, ABB Ability, Yokogawa AAA Suite etc.,
  • Excellent expertise in process data historian configuration and troubleshooting to transfer plant data from L2 to L4 Business network
  • Able to develop & modify Human Machine Interface (HMI) graphics.
  • Experience in writing Excel VBA (Visual Basic application) program will be an advantage.
  • Prior experience of leading and Implementing Process data historian & data visualization projects
  • Good understanding of Alarm systems and alarm configuration on various DCS systems like Honeywell, Yokogawa, ABB, Schneider etc.,
  • Good understanding of the Industry standards like ISA 18.2, and IEC 62682 standards
  • Understanding of basic networking principles (e.g. IP addressing, Network components such as routers, switches etc.)
  • Experience in writing SQL queries, creating SSRS & Basic Database management skills
  • Knowledge of integration with other systems using OPC, OLEDB, ODBC and web services.
  • Experience of working in Master Alarm Database (MAD), Alarm rationalization process & implementation.

  • BE/B.Tech in Chemical Engineering/Instrumentation Engineering with implementation experience in Process Data historian like PHD, OSI Soft PI, ASPEN IP 21 and Alarm management products like Honeywell Dynamo Documentation & Enforcement (D&E), Metrics & Reporting (M&R) , Exaquantum -Alarm Reporting and Analytics, Alarm Master Database and Sequence of Events, Aveva ProcessVue SOE, Matrikon Alarm Management, PAS PlantState Suite, Emerson AgileOps, ABB Ability, Yokogawa AAA Suite

Travel:   50 to 60%
