Position Overview:
The Korea Sales Director is the owner of Stanley’s multi-channel retail business in South Korea and is responsible for driving sustainable and profitable growth across the product portfolio. This role will lead and develop the team to ensure strong distribution and premium consumer experience within Korea retailers both online and instore. This role will play a critical role in delivering Stanley’s go-to-market strategy and will be a key member of the APAC leadership team.
This role will report into the General Manager, Stanley APAC.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and execute the Sales vision, framework, and strategy to consistently acquire and grow Stanley revenue and profitability in Korea
- Ensure Stanley has preferred and prominent in store and digital space within strategic retailers to deliver a consistent and premium consumer experience
- Build and lead a high-performing sales organization while leading and influencing a significant cross-functional team passionate about meeting or exceeding revenue targets and distribution
- Pull together resources across Commercial, Marketing, Planning and Operations needed to improve the profitable growth and to drive brand position in strategic accounts
- Develop annual and monthly sales plans in coordination with the Company’s business plan; plan customer retention strategies that increase revenue, identify changes, adjust, and redraft sales plan and philosophy as necessary
- Lead Ecomm regarding customer specific planning, strategy, content, analytics, and web technologies
- Stay on top of changes in the sales environment to best serve the objectives of the organization
- Devise and lead initiatives that benefit the retailer ‘s sales and profitability and improve the consumer experience
- Cross-functional go-to-market process optimization
- Operate within approved budgets, policies, and Brand Standards
- Influence & collaborate, to advise channel right assortment and wholesale pricing for the channel
- Lead sharing with Global and other regional counterparts to facilitate learning/changes needed
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree or comparable experience strongly preferred
- 15+ years of growing sales leadership responsibility leading a portfolio of retail/eComm customers and direct to consumer business
- Strong history of developing, implementing, and accomplishing online strategy and initiatives with key eComm platforms/retailer accounts
- Validated outstanding account leadership skills with major strategic accounts
- Keen understanding and experience of assortment planning, merchandising, and consumer experience initiatives
- Influential problem solver, communicator, and revenue leader with vision who gains acceptance of others in sensitive situations across all channels, mediums, and cultures
- Outstanding negotiation, communication, and presentation skills (in both Korean and English); Experience in communicating and making pitches at a senior executive and board of director’s level'
- Validated high levels of integrity, initiative, honesty, and leadership
- Experience in a multicultural environment is desired
- Experience in retail, lifestyle, sporting goods, or consumer goods is desired
- Ability to establish priorities, procedures and policies effectively under ambiguity
- Ability to lead through strategic level and to dive into the business details, supervising plans
