About Daptic

Daptic is building the future of regulatory intelligence, with the mission to empower global manufacturers to navigate complex regulations seamlessly and accelerate the global launch of physical products.

With government regulations and standards becoming increasingly complex, product delays and innovation roadblocks are more common than ever. Daptic automates the identification and analysis of relevant regulations, standards, and product requirements, allowing R&D teams to focus on what they do best: creating groundbreaking products within automotive, aerospace, construction, consumer electronics, medicine and healthcare, and beyond.

Currently, with a small focused team, we’re proud to be supporting the development of products used by over 100 million people worldwide.

We’ve secured over $6M in seed funding from IA Ventures, 8VC, and other institutional investors who believe in our vision to revolutionize product development.

The Role

As a Solutions Engineer at Daptic, you’ll own the technical side of how we win and expand accounts with the world’s largest manufacturers. You’ll run the trials and demos, build custom analyses that map a customer’s own products and target markets to the regulations governing them, and stand behind how our regulatory data is sourced, classified, and secured. You’ll carry the deepest product expertise outside of engineering, and you’ll bring it into the room with senior leaders, including VPs and SVPs of engineering and product compliance, heads of regulatory affairs, and general counsel.

Most of the teams we work with track their regulatory obligations in spreadsheets, lean on outside consultants, and fall back on institutional knowledge. Nobody has built end-to-end software for product compliance before, so we are defining the category ourselves. That makes a large part of the job translation. You’ll learn how a customer works today, then translate that into new ways of working inside the platform. Some of that runs ahead of what the platform does now, so prototyping and demoing new capabilities alongside customers is part of the job, and what comes out of it shapes where the product goes next.

Core Responsibilities

1. Own the Technical Side of the Deal Cycle

  • Work every enterprise opportunity alongside an Account Executive (AE) and a Forward-Deployed Regulatory Engineer (FDRE), owning the technical thread from first demo through trial to conversion and shaping account strategy with them.

  • Design and configure trials around a customer’s product portfolio, target markets, and regulatory priorities, then run them end to end against clear technical success criteria.

  • Deliver demos built around what a customer is actually contending with, from the product lines carrying the heaviest regulatory burden to the topics moving fastest in their markets, and tailor the flow live based on who is in the room.

  • Build the custom analyses that answer the question a customer is actually asking.

  • Own the quantitative side of the evaluation. Monitor how the platform gets used, measure it against the success criteria, and turn that into the impact case a customer’s leadership will fund.

2. Prototype New Capabilities and Shape the Roadmap

  • Prototype new capabilities in response to the problems customers are raising, then demo them and run them in live trials with enterprise teams.

  • Carry what you learn from those customers back to Product and Engineering, where it shapes what we build and in what order.

  • Build the internal tooling and analyses that make the rest of the go-to-market team faster.

3. Know the Product Inside and Out

  • Learn not just what the platform does but how it is built (e.g. where the data comes from, how sources stay current, how the models classify and rank what a customer sees).

  • Put that depth to work in front of a customer’s IT, security, and AI governance teams, on sourcing, traceability, model methodology, integrations, and deployment.

  • Show customers a better way to run the work. Walk their teams through what changes with the platform in place, and tie it to the results they want out of the evaluation.

  • Build the reusable demo assets, talk tracks, enablement docs, and objection handling notes that make the function repeatable.

What We’re Looking For

Requirements

  • 2-5+ years in solutions engineering, sales engineering, forward-deployed engineering, technical consulting, or strategy consulting with a technical focus, ideally in enterprise SaaS, data platforms, or AI products.

  • Demonstrated technical acumen and the ability to grasp our highly technical product, whether through a technical education or extensive experience with complex data or computer programming.

  • Substantial client-facing experience. You like being in the room and you handle hard questions well on the spot.

  • Working proficiency in Python and SQL, and the ability to pick up whatever language a problem requires.

  • Experience building with AI tools like Claude Code, with AI already part of how you work day to day.

  • Available to work in our office in New York City at least 4 days a week.

  • Open to travel (0% - 25%) as required to support business needs.

Bonus

  • You build things nobody asked you to build. Side projects, internal tools, a company you started.

  • Experience working alongside regulatory, compliance, or engineering teams.

What We Value
  • You bring structure to unstructured problems. Given an open-ended question with no obvious frame, you build one and work from it.

  • Strong attention to detail and a “110% mindset” in all tasks.

  • Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights.

  • Exceptional communication skills, written, verbal, and visual, for both internal and customer-facing audiences.

  • Comfort talking to customers and prospects. Customer research and time in the market is expected of all employees.

  • A proven ability to ramp fast on unfamiliar material. We sell to experts across topics like safety, emissions, cyber, data privacy, and restricted substances, and across many industries.

  • Comfort managing multiple projects simultaneously, with an ability to quickly switch contexts.

  • Experience thriving in unstructured environments, demonstrating adaptability and initiative.

  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding goals in a fast-paced, technical environment, such as early promotions or top-of-cohort ratings.

Why you’ll love working here

You’ll shape how we go to market and have a real say in Daptic’s direction this early on. Our customers are household names facing serious regulatory complexity, and we’re helping them solve it with AI. The team is sharp and humble, with high standards and candid collaboration. We work hard, but we also make time to enjoy it, from offsites to team dinners in NYC.

This is an individual contributor role, based out of our Seaport (Manhattan) office 4 or 5 days a week. We offer 100% healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision), a gym membership, and unlimited PTO.
