The Role
A Solution Architecture role is crucial to an organization in the way that they bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. Overseeing the strategic and technical implementation of solutions is key to ensuring systems are scalable, secure, resilient, highly integrated, and efficient. Creating and maintaining a comprehensive overview of systems, data, and interactions ensures that teams optimally interact, and duplication is minimized. The Solution Architect provides a cohesiveness between multiple systems, teams, services, and organizations and is continually forward thinking.
The role will seek to define the technical vision and design that align to stakeholder needs and desired capabilities. Always seeking to stay out ahead of delivery goals, the Solution Architect is future focused and maintains a deep understanding of current system limitations or opportunities to ensure we are prepared for the best implementation plans. The majority of their time goes into creating architecture implementation plans by gathering requirements and breaking down the project into manageable chunks.
The Solution Architect is also a keen problem solver with expertise in key areas of system design and development. This role is crucial to the seamless collaboration between stakeholders and requires that the Solution Architect be highly collaborative and communicative to close gaps and ensure a smooth transition from ideation to delivery.
A dedicated full-time Solution Architect will provide the cohesiveness that is required between multiple ARTs, teams, applications, and services.
