InterSytems is seeking a strategic and visionary leader to serve as the Director of Managed Services & SaaS Portfolio Strategy. In this role, you will drive the development, evolution, and execution of our global Managed Services portfolio. You will be responsible for defining the strategic rationale—the “Why”—behind Managed Services and SaaS offerings across the InterSystems product suite.
This leader will assess global market opportunities, inform investment decisions, and align offerings with customer needs and long-term enterprise value. You will oversee Product Owners throughout the service development lifecycle and lead efforts related to tooling, partner ecosystem strategy, and the establishment of global delivery standards. Focus will be on Agentic AI with low-code / no-code platforms and tools for rapid delivery of services.
This is a newly created position for the business and is pivotal to shaping the future of Managed Services at InterSystems, ensuring our offerings are market-relevant, differentiated, and financially compelling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Portfolio Ownership: Lead the lifecycle management of our Managed Services and SaaS portfolio powered by Agentic AI and other tooling and automation — from concept to sunset — with a focus on customer impact, business value, and strategic alignment.
- Market & Competitive Intelligence: Conduct global market assessments, customer segmentation, and competitive benchmarking to identify growth areas and unmet needs across industries and regions.
- Value Proposition & Differentiation: Clearly articulate the “why” behind each offering — the business problem it solves, the customer value it creates, and how it strengthens our competitive position.
- Investment Strategy: Define and prioritize portfolio investments in partnership with finance, engineering, and delivery, ensuring return on investment, scalability, and innovation alignment.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Align with product, marketing, delivery, sales, and regional teams to operationalize offerings, drive adoption, and ensure strong go-to-market readiness.
- Performance & Optimization: Monitor and optimize portfolio health through business KPIs, profitability, customer outcomes, and usage metrics. Recommend rationalization or evolution as needed.
- Executive & Board Engagement: Provide thought leadership and strategic insights to senior leadership, influencing roadmap direction, innovation focus, and growth strategy.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in Managed Services, SaaS portfolio management, or services strategy within the technology sector.
- Proven ability to lead strategic initiatives and manage complex global service portfolios.
- Strong financial and analytical capabilities to drive investment decisions and measure business impact.
- Experience in Agentic AI, Hyper-Scalers, Private Cloud
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across product, delivery, and commercial teams.
- Excellent executive communication, stakeholder management, and storytelling skills.
- Experience navigating both organic and inorganic growth pathways is a plus.
