We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Solution Architect to lead the design, integration, and implementation of enterprise-grade technical solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of system architecture, emerging technologies, and business alignment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing current systems, proposing innovative solutions, and guiding cross-functional teams through the full project lifecycle—from concept to deployment. You will play a key role in shaping the technical direction of the organization, ensuring scalability, performance, and alignment with business goals.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience in a technical environment.
- Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in software development and technical solutioning, particularly in product development.
- Background in financial services, especially electronic banking, is advantageous.
- Strong expertise in Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and the architecture of large-scale enterprise applications.
- Proficient in articulating technical solutions using standard UML diagrams, and capable of clearly illustrating customer journeys, application architecture, and infrastructure design.
- Proven experience in business requirements gathering, solution design, development, and systems integration across both Windows and Linux platforms using RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with application servers such as JBoss and Tomcat, and relational databases including Informix, DB2, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Framework, Hibernate, Kafka, and Shell scripting is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and software engineering best practices.
- Knowledge of modern architectural patterns such as microservices and API-first design.
- Experience in developing cloud-native applications on AWS or Azure platforms is preferred.
- Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory, Maven, and SonarQube is a plus.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with a focus on performance optimization.
- International work experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing development teams; experience leading offshore teams is an advantage.
- Passionate about the finance and banking industry.
- Self-driven, eager to learn, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong team player with excellent multitasking and results-oriented mindset.
Impact You'll Make:
- Design, build, and integrate information systems to align with business needs and strategic goals.
- Analyze current and emerging technologies, both internal and external, to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation. Recommend and implement changes where appropriate.
- Communicate technical issues and limitations of current solutions to relevant stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
- Evaluate the business impact of technical decisions and provide strategic recommendations and solution roadmaps.
- Identify and manage potential project constraints, including risks, timelines, resources, and scope.
- Review existing system architecture and collaborate with technical teams to recommend enhancements and improvements.
- Develop proof-of-concept (PoC) projects to validate proposed solutions and demonstrate feasibility.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the availability and proper functioning of hardware and infrastructure required for projects.
- Document and track requirements for proposed updates and system enhancements.
- Define frameworks and coordinate contributions from cross-functional teams to support solution implementation.
- Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, including mentoring development teams and resolving technical challenges as they arise.
- Work closely with project managers to monitor progress and ensure successful delivery of initiatives.
- Deliver detailed technical specifications and define clear, actionable goals for all project phases.
- Capture and share best practices and lessons learned from new solutions and implementations.
- Regularly communicate new features, benefits, and updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Engage with clients and internal teams to understand requirements and develop tailored, effective solutions.
