Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Automation Test Engineer to develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts, ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in test automation frameworks, a strong understanding of testing methodologies, and proficiency in C#.NET.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web, API, and functional testing.
- Create, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure software quality.
- Automate test cases using Selenium WebDriver and Playwright for end-to-end testing.
- Perform API testing (manual and automated) using tools like Postman, RestSharp, or similar frameworks.
- Work closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing practices.
- Analyze test results, identify bugs, and report defects with detailed documentation.
- Ensure test coverage and maintainability of automation scripts.
- Follow quality standards and advocate for best testing practices within the team.
- Participate in knowledge sharing sessions and support junior team members when needed.
- Hands-on testing on both Manual [40%] and Automation [60%].
- Understanding of requirements and ability to derive testable scenarios from project documentation.
- Familiarity with client business functions, technology needs, tools, and interfacing applications.
- Good understanding of testing methodology and best practices.
- Ability to review project documentation (functional requirements, test plans, etc.) to ensure requirements are testable.
- Ability to validate technical and user documentation procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Good understanding of OOPs concepts and programming skills in C#.NET.
- Proven experience in test automation using Selenium and Playwright.
- Hands-on experience with API testing and automation.
- Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and QA processes.
- Experience in functional testing, integration testing, and regression testing.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Git, or other version control and CI/CD tools.
- Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Good analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Exposure to performance and load testing tools (JMeter, k6, etc.).
- Basic experience in mobile automation testing (Appium, BrowserStack).
- Familiarity with BDD frameworks (SpecFlow, Cucumber).
- Exposure to Cloud testing environments (Azure, AWS).
- Basic knowledge of SQL and database testing.
- Understanding of security testing basics.
