The Role:
The Software Integration Manager is a technical project leadership position responsible to plan, lead, and execute software content and timing for software releases. This position will draw upon a blend of technical skills and program management skills. It can be an excellent opportunity to leverage your technical software skills while learning program management skills.
Most of the tasks for this highly engaging role can be accomplished on a flexible schedule with the possibility of a fully remote work arrangement.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
- Develop, negotiate, maintain, communicate software delivery plans (content and timing) typically related to more legacy programs
- Lead software verification and validation planning and oversee execution of that plan
- Review and approve verification test results
- Provide direction and set priorities for software builds, testing, and validation
- Drive resolution of issues and obstacles related to software development and integration
- Provide technical direction over internal (GM) and external (supplier) engineering support personnel.
- Manage suppliers of externally provided s/w, e.g., HWIO software
- Assist the Senior SWIM in leading the Software Execution Team meeting; consists of key partners, stakeholders, suppliers, and customers
- Ensure adherence to the Controls Process of Engineering (C-PoE)
- Resolve roadblocks through negotiation and escalation to appropriate leadership
- Actively manage controller resource requirements (e.g., memory and CPU utilization) at each software release; escalate and engage subject matter experts for resolution as required
- Foster & document best practices to ensure high quality software and reduce lead times

Additional Description
What You'll Need (Required Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in one of the following: Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in real-time embedded software systems
- Demonstrated technical project lead or project management experience
- Demonstrated analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult
- Demonstrated drive for results and teamwork in project execution
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in designing and writing real-time embedded controls software (e.g., C/C++/JAVA/Assembly) and scripting languages (e.g., Perl/Python)
- Understanding of operating systems (e.g., Unix, Linux, RTOS for embedded system) and instrumentation (e.g., INCA, in circuit emulators, dSpace)
- Familiarity with configuration management system (e.g., GiT) and build tools (e.g., Jenkins, eflow).
- Familiarity with Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence tools
- Familiarity with Agile development concepts
