Azure Data Analyst
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Analyst having d business intelligence implementation experience.
The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, Azure data technologies, and Power Automate, with a proven track record delivering analytical solutions preferably for Japanese insurance companies
This role requires strong analytical capability, excellent communication skills, and deep understanding of how data can support business decision-making in the insurance sector.

Key Responsibilities
Power BI Development
- Design, build, and deploy interactive Power BI dashboards and reports for business stakeholders.
- Perform data preparation, cleansing, and transformation using Power Query (M language).
- Develop optimized data models, including star schema design, fact/dimension table creation, and relationship management.
- Write efficient DAX measures and calculations for analytical insights.
- Ensure performance optimization and adherence to visualization best practices.
Azure Data Platform
- Ingest, transform, and manage datasets using:
- Azure Data Factory
- Azure SQL Database / SQL Managed Instance
- Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)
- Azure Synapse Analytics
- Collaborate with data engineering teams on ETL/ELT pipelines and data quality frameworks.
- Ensure cloud-based datasets follow proper lineage, documentation, and metadata standards.
Power Automate & Automation
- Design and maintain Power Automate Flows to automate:
- Report distribution
- Data refresh alerts
- Business process automation across departments
- Integrate Power Automate with Power BI and Azure services for seamless data workflows.
Qualifications
- 5-8 years of experience as a Data Analyst, BI Developer, or Azure Data Specialist.
- Ability to collaborate with Japanese-speaking teams ( JLPT N3 or above)- Mandatory
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Power BI
- Power Automate
- Azure SQL / Data Factory / Data Lake
- Proven expertise in DAX, M Query, data modeling, and BI architecture.
- Experience working in the insurance or financial sector-preferably in Japan.
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
Preference
- Experience working in multicultural environment
- Ability to translate business requirements into analytical solutions.
- Strong attention to data accuracy, governance, and quality.
- Self-directed, proactive, and detail-oriented mindset.
- Microsoft PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst) Certification
- Understanding of common insurance data structures- specially Commission's related.
