About the Senior Software Engineer (Backend) role...

You will use your backend development experience to build and enhance our products. Our projects vary between natively developing in our new cloud-based microservices architecture and others will involve migration.

What you'll do...

• Refine, design, and deliver product requirements

• Work with a cross-functional team in an agile methodology

• Participate in roadmap, release, and sprint planning

• Write clean, well organized code while making appropriate trade-offs between performance, robustness, extensibility

What you have...

• Solid software development experience covering the full life cycle of the development from design to testing, release and ongoing support

• Experienced in Node.js (Mandatory) and Kotlin to help us build backend solutions. Need experience with Typescript as well.

• AWS experience across one or more of the following: EC2, Kinesis, SQS, ElastiCache, Lambda and S3

• Knowledge on how to structure, develop and maintain relational databases such as MySQL

• Experienced with or want to learn key/value store databases such as DynamoDB, Cassandra, MongoDB and Redis

• Understand code testability, build pipelines, Docker and CI/CD systems

• Experience in testing automation

• Keep up with best practices, latest technologies and programming languages and frameworks as needed

• Liaise and work with the product team, and other technology and delivery teams to deliver high quality software solutions

• Ability to work on a user story from inception to production independently with a cross-functional mindset
