As a Senior-Lead Backend Engineer at Bilue, you’ll be responsible for designing, building, and optimising high-quality, scalable backend systems and cloud-based APIs. With 6+ years of commercial experience in .NET/C#, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering robust, secure, and maintainable solutions that meet the highest standards of performance.

You’ll work closely with clients and cross-functional teams, driving technical excellence through best practices, rigorous testing, and continuous integration. Experience with Azure Cloud is preferred, along with a strong understanding of modern API development and cloud-based architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, high-performance backend services using .NET/C#, prioritising clean, maintainable, and high-quality code.
• Build and optimise RESTful APIs and microservices for cloud-based applications, ensuring they meet high standards of reliability and security.
• Work with Azure Cloud services to deploy, manage, and scale applications efficiently, maintaining the highest standards of performance and uptime.
• Collaborate closely with frontend developers, product managers, and stakeholders to align on delivering solutions that exceed expectations.
• Ensure that all backend systems are robust, secure, and highly available through comprehensive testing and monitoring.
• Champion best practices in automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and code quality to ensure continuous delivery of high-quality software.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the backend stack, always ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Lead code reviews, mentor junior developers, and foster a knowledge-sharing culture focused on improving both individual and team performance.
• Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies and trends, bringing innovative solutions to the team while maintaining an eye for code quality and long-term maintainability.

About You

• 6+ years of experience in .NET/C# backend development, with a strong commitment to writing clean, efficient, and well-structured code.
• Expertise in designing and building cloud-based APIs and microservices architectures, with an emphasis on scalability and performance.
• Experience with Azure Cloud services (preferred but not mandatory) to build and deploy resilient cloud-based applications.
• A solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and best practices in DevOps for efficient development and deployment processes.
• A passion for code quality and a strong advocate for best practices—you will actively participate in setting and enforcing team coding standards.
• Experience in Agile environments, contributing to iterative development cycles, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and reviews.
• A proactive problem-solver, able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Candidates must be based within the metropolitan area of Manila with a strong reliable internet connection.
• Working hours are expected to be Australian Eastern Standard Time. (6am - 2.30pm PHT)
