Builds and maintains in-house traffic generation platforms, hardware reservation and provisioning systems, CI/CD pipelines, and lab infrastructure services. Determines hardware and ASIC compatibility for test and emulation environments and influences the design of test tooling that runs across switch, simulation, and emulation platforms.

Management Level Definition: Contributions include applying developed subject matter expertise to solve common and sometimes complex technical problems across networking test frameworks and infrastructure, recommending alternatives where necessary. Might act as project lead and provide assistance to junior engineers. Exercises independent judgment and consults with others to determine the best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.

How you will make your mark:

  • Designs enhancements, updates, and programming changes for tools and subsystems, including traffic generation frameworks, hardware reservation and provisioning tools, regression dashboards, and lab automation services.
  • Analyzes design requirements and determines coding, integration, and testing activities based on general objectives and knowledge of the overall ASIC/SDK test architecture, including ASIC-based switch platforms.
  • Writes and executes complete test plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned tools; identifies, debugs, and resolves issues with code and its integration into the broader tools ecosystem across switch, simulation, and emulation platforms.
  • Develops and maintains CI/CD pipelines and PR-check/regression workflows integrated with source control and hardware reservation systems to deliver reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality automation.
  • Collaborates and communicates with management and internal partner teams (SDK, Post-Silicon, ASIC, Mechanical Engineering, and Hardware) regarding tool design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
  • Represents the engineering team across all phases of larger and more-complex development projects, supporting development environments, container-orchestrated server resources, and provisioning workflows used daily by SDK and post-silicon engineers.
  • Provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.

About You:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent.

  • Experience with C is valued, and Rust is a strong plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug across software, networking, and hardware boundaries.
  • Experience designing software that runs across multiple platform types — physical switches, virtual/simulation environments, and hardware emulation.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps tooling and infrastructure: CI/CD (Jenkins), Git/GitHub, containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), and Linux-based server environments.
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals (L2/L3, traffic generation, packet flows) and/or ASIC/SDK or post-silicon test environments is a strong plus.
  • Software testing methodology, including writing and executing test plans, debugging, and building test scripts and tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language. Ability to effectively communicate tool architectures and design proposals and negotiate options at management levels.
