The SDET III will work cross-functionally with an integrated team of developers, product managers, and QA Engineers for test planning and development, automation requirements, tools creation, and evaluate/enhance and build automation frameworks.
What You’ll be doing:
- Evaluating our currently existing automation framework and test scripts and driving any necessary changes
- Driving internal Quality initiatives to support the organizations goals and objectives
- Defining, developing, maintaining, and executing the automation of test scripts to provide robust test coverage with no supervision needed
- Developing an easy-to-understand test coverage matrix and report on automation’s successes and failures
- Creating and building new tools to help Engineers implement their own test scripts within the automation framework
- Ensuring that User Stories and/or system requirements are satisfied for internal and external application users
- Confirming automation coverage and test execution is complete during each sprint and prior to release
- Providing guidance and support for other Engineers on automation initiatives
- Involvement in new feature automation supporting the development team
- Conducting feasibility studies on comprehensive test plans that drive the automation strategy
- Handling test-leveling exercises to determine the best test layer to secure code quality
- QA Lead projects within a multi-tiered system architecture and guides a team of test automation engineers from project inception to release
What you Bring:
- 3+ years of full-time, hands-on SDET experience in an agile environment
- Working experience with build tools such as Jenkins and GitHub
- Experience automating in all the following functional areas: web applications, iOS and/or Android mobile applications, and backend APIs
- Experience with automation tools such as Appium, XCTest, Xcode, and Android Studio
- Developed automation in a Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery development process
- Proven expertise in mobile testing, development and software design is required; solid working knowledge of Selenium and coding languages (Python, and JS)
- Performed load testing on applications and services using jMeter or a similar performance testing tool and evaluated results
- Experience working with external testing solutions such as SauceLabs or BrowserStack
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of QA methodologies, including functional, performance, regression, black-box, and white-box testing
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Healthcare, SaaS, or Enterprise industry experience is a plus
- Highly autonomous with a willingness to own projects and learn new skills to solve technical problems
- Be an idea generator to continue to bring the automation practices in line with the industry standards and operations
- Proactively take on complex tasks or issues that may arise in production and perform root cause analysis on the current automation in place
- Advanced coding skills to script and automate new features and refactor existing features
- Guides and trains other engineers on the framework
