This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
Role Overview And Core Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using PHP, Laravel, and MySQL.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Guide and mentor junior developers, providing technical support, code reviews, and best practice recommendations.
- Participate in application design discussions and contribute to architecture and technology decisions
- . Develop and optimize RESTful APIs, backend services, and database structures.
- Ensure high-quality code through code reviews, testing, documentation, and adherence to development standards.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex application issues while ensuring platform stability and performance.
- Optimize application and database performance through efficient coding and query optimization techniques.
- Support cloud-based deployments and collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD and release activities
Required Knowledge And Experiences
- 8+ years of experience in web application development using PHP and related technologies.
- Strong experience with Laravel framework and enterprise application development.
- Experience guiding developers through technical challenges, conducting code reviews, and promoting engineering best practices.
- Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent industry experience
Required Technical Skills
- PHP and Laravel Framework - Expert • SQL, MySQL, and Relational Database Design & Optimization - Expert • JavaScript and jQuery - Strong Proficiency
- Strong understanding of application architecture, design patterns, and software development best practices
- AWS (Amazon Web Services) and/or GCP (Google Cloud Platform) familiarity • Strong Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) fundamentals
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or related field
- Software development experience in PHP or similar language (10+ years)
- Expert knowledge of object oriented programming
- Expert knowledge of relational databases, such as MySQL
- Strong understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Strong understanding of version control tools, such as Subversion or Git
- Linux command line and server management experience
- Agile/Scrum experience
- Consultative skills to understand technical needs of clients and solve complex problems
- Ability to communicate professionally in detailed written responses to customer requirements
