Position Overview

Diligent is seeking a contract Senior UX Researcher to join our small but mighty UX Research teamAs a Senior UX Researcher, you will play a key role in improving our design system by conducting discovery and evaluative design research and providing actionable insights to inform product design decisions. You will collaborate closely with the design team to ensure that our products meet the needs and expectations of our users

Key Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for collecting information from in-house stakeholders on design components.
  • You will create discovery briefs for selected design components by researching solutions in other design systems and industry best practices or by analyzing existing usage data.
  • You will run workshops with designers based on gathered insights.
  • You will test design solutions by conducting and analyzing moderated and unmoderated prototype testing.
  • You will regularly share insights and recommendations with stakeholders.
  • You will work in partnership with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to deliver insights that drive remarkable solutions to support our customers.
  • You will partner closely with both product and design to understand pain points, unmet needs, opportunities, and test concepts to deliver delightful solutions.
  • You will be responsible for the research projects end-to-end.
  • You will re-frame problems and help our team continuously identify and learn about current and potential opportunities to better serve our users, inspire product strategy, and encourage design iteration.
  • You will act as the dedicated researcher for our design system and build strong relationships with cross-functional partners, such as product managers, designers, marketers, and engineers.
  • You will stay up-to-date on emerging trends and best practices in UX design research. 

Required Experience/Skills:

  • You have at least 3 years of dedicated user research experience, have experience with researching B2B products.
  • You have experience with researching visual design solutions.
  • You have a collaborative mindset, with experience working across disciplines and with multiple stakeholders.
  • You are a self-starter who can make effective decisions with little direction.
  • Strong advocate for the user and for research-led product development.
  • You have knowledge and practical experience with both qualitative and quantitative user research methods.
  • You have a robust research toolkit and know when to use which method and how to combine methods for maximum value.
  • You have experience collaborating with stakeholders to design and execute research studies.
  • You're able to communicate effectively and in a compelling way.
  • You are able to identify important research objectives, plan and execute research activities.
  • You have experience with analyzing and synthesizing quantitative and qualitative data, communicating research insights and recommendations, and identifying areas for further exploration.
  • Familiarity with agile software development methodologies is a plus.
