Our team collaborates with our Customers and Partners during the project cycle to share their extensive knowledge of Salesforce Data36O (formerly known as Data Cloud). Combined with their experience in technical architecture, enterprise integration, and business solution implementation, they directly drive toward the best possible solutions.
Data 36O Technical Architects are experienced ‘Data’ subject matter experts, assisting in key pre-sales engagements and leading the design and implementation of enterprise-grade Data Management solutions. This position is responsible for:
- Architecting scalable solutions across enterprise landscapes using Data 36O
- Ensuring data is democratised ready for enterprise AI usage
- Applying Data Governance guardrails supporting enterprise Data Governance roadmap
Your Impact
Through our extended onboarding program of formal certifications, internal training, knowledge transfers, hands on experience and closely working with other architects, if not already, you will become a Salesforce Data 36O expert at the forefront of our Architecture offerings, delivering outstanding customer success.
To be successful in the role you:
- Be a trusted SME for Data 36O to support and lead project delivery and customer engagements during pre-sales cycle. Including how Data 36O relates to the success of AI
- Provide Data and System Architecture guidance to Salesforce Account teams and Customers by reviewing proposed architecture. Also peer review project effort estimates, scope and delivery considerations
- Work on cross-cloud project delivery and lead the data and insights project stream, spear-heading Data 36O Architecture & Delivery. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams from Developer to Executive
- Design and guide customer's enterprise data architecture aligned to business goals. Highlight the importance of Data Governance and Enterprise Data Strategy by ensuring that customer solutions adhere to relevant regulations and best practices in data security and privacy
- Facilitate and influence Executive Customer stakeholders while aligning technology strategy to business value and ROI. Build strong relationships with both internal and external teams, contributing to broader goals and growth
- Create and maintain high-quality architecture blueprints, design documents, standards, and technical guidelines
Basic Requirements
- Demonstrable experience of technical design & technical delivery of Software-As-A-Service platforms
- Direct experience designing and configuring Data 36O platform enabling enterprise use cases
- Deep knowledge in MDM, Data Distribution and Data Modelling concepts
- Expertise in data modelling with strong understanding of metadata and lineage
- Ideally 10+ years in data architecture or consulting, with solution design and project delivery experience
- Strong understanding of Salesforce Products
- Experience in executing data strategies, landscape architecture assessments and technical proof-of-concepts
- Familiarity with SDLC methodologies including requirements, design, implementation, testing and maintenance
- Executive level oral and written communication skills including technical documentation. The ability to conceptualise and communicate complex architectural concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to scope, define and manage work packages. Support pre-sale qualification with solutions validation.
- Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.) -
- Available to travel regionally depending on customer needs
Preferred Requirements
- Familiarity with systems integrations such as CRM, Data Lake, ERP, Content Management, POS/eCommerce, or Web Analytics
- Understanding of Data Platforms (example: Snowflake, DataBricks, AWS, GCP, MS Azure) is a plus
- and functional domains such as Technology, Finance, Telco, Manufacturing and Retail is a positive
- Salesforce Certified Data 36O Consultant - Highly Regarded
- Salesforce Data Architect - Preferred
