Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Systems Operations Engineer
In this role, you will:
- Lead or participate in managing all installed systems and infrastructure within the Systems Operations functional area
- Contribute in increasing system efficiencies and lowering the human intervention time on related tasks
- Review and analyze moderately complex operational support systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
- Work with vendors and other technical personnel for problem resolution
- Lead team to meet technical deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of technical process controls or standards
- Collaborate with vendors and other technical personnel to resolve technical issues and achieve highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
- 4+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of strong hands-on experience in IBM BPM/BAW and Red Hat PAM administration, including installation, configuration, deployment, troubleshooting, and infrastructure support on Red Hat Linux platforms.
- Proven expertise in providing L2/L3 support for BPM and PAM environments, ensuring high availability, stability, and performance of critical business applications.
- Extensive experience in BPM/PAM platform installation, environment buildouts, upgrades, migrations, patching, and cluster administration across Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments.
- Strong knowledge of JBoss middleware administration, JVM tuning, datasource configuration, messaging, clustering, and performance optimization.
- Experience troubleshooting process execution failures, KIE server issues, business rule deployments, application integration issues, and platform outages.
- Hands-on experience with incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), problem management, and major incident coordination.
- Proven ability to automate operational activities using Shell/Python scripting and improve platform reliability through monitoring and self-healing solutions.
- Experience managing SSL certificates, security vulnerabilities, backup/recovery activities, and disaster recovery testing for BPM/PAM platforms.
- Strong understanding of monitoring tools such as ITRS, Grafana, AppDynamics, ELK, and Splunk for proactive platform support.
- Excellent collaboration skills with application, infrastructure, database, and network teams to ensure seamless delivery and operational excellence.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts (6:30 AM-3:30 PM or 10:30 AM-7:30 PM) and provide weekend support on a rotational basis.
- Hands-on experience in Middleware administration and support for BPM and PAM platforms on Red Hat Linux
- Sound knowledge in IT Service Management- Incident/Problem Management, ITIL, Change/Release Management & Service transformations.
- Hand-on experience on tools like ITRS, AppDynamics, Grafana, Prometheus
- Strong Python/Perl/Shell/UNIX skills
- Should be able to independently manage complex platform issues
- Ability to perform in-depth technical postmortem of major incidents
- Ability to understand team dynamics and use interpersonal skills and personal judgment to achieve goals
- SRE/Cloud certifications
- ITIL certification
