We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help build the foundation that powers analytics, reporting, and AI-driven experiences across our platform. This role bridges the gap between traditional data engineering and software engineering, focusing on scalable data infrastructure and high-quality software development.
You'll work closely with data scientists and engineering teams to design, build, maintain, and evolve data platforms and services that enable reliable, high-performance data products.
What You'll Do- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and build scalable data infrastructure that powers analytics, reporting, and AI applications.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines using technologies such as Snowflake, dbt, and Airflow.
- Build and maintain reliable, scalable APIs and backend services in cloud environments, primarily AWS.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from design through implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
- Design and implement highly scalable, resilient distributed systems.
- Proactively identify opportunities for platform improvements and contribute ideas for new features and architectural enhancements.
- Collaborate effectively with engineering, data, and other business stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions.
- Continuously learn and adopt new technologies while building sustainable, long-term solutions.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering and/or data engineering experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Strong expertise in SQL and experience working with complex data models and large-scale datasets.
- Proven experience designing and building ETL/ELT pipelines and distributed data systems.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, C++, C#, Go, Kotlin, Ruby, or similar object-oriented languages.
- Deep understanding of software engineering principles, algorithms, data structures, and system design.
- Experience designing scalable, reliable cloud-native applications and working with AWS or similar cloud platforms.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative, high-growth environment.
- Excellent communication skills with professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Experience with Snowflake, dbt, and Airflow.
- Experience building APIs and data services.
- Exposure to modern data platforms, AI/ML infrastructure (we use BentoML), experience in MLOps or analytics engineering.
- Experience with MCPs
- Experience contributing to platform engineering, developer tooling, or internal frameworks.
