We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with strong development capabilities who can handle complex production issues, perform deep debugging, and contribute to backend development. This role will function as a hybrid Development + Production Support position, requiring strong system understanding and problem-solving skills.
? Development Responsibilities
Design and develop scalable backend services using Node.js
Optimize APIs for performance and reliability
Refactor code to improve maintainability and scalability
Implement system improvements based on production learnings
Participate in architecture discussions and technical planning
Handle complex L3 incidents, RCA, and critical production issues
Perform deep debugging across distributed systems
Analyze logs, API failures, DB queries, memory leaks, performance bottlenecks
Coordinate with DevOps, QA, and product teams during incidents
Own root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes
Improve observability, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms
RequirementsRequired Skills & Experience
6+ years of experience in backend development and production support
Experience working on scalable, high-traffic systems
Strong debugging skills across:
Application layer
Database layer
API integrations
Async systems / queues
Good understanding of:
REST APIs
Microservices architecture
Caching (Redis preferred)
SQL databases
Experience in handling production incidents
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong hands-on experience in Node.js & JavaScript
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
Experience with logging/monitoring tools (ELK, Grafana, etc.)
Exposure to containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes)
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
Ownership mindset
Clear communication during issue resolution
Strong system thinking approach
Proactive in identifying potential system risks

✔ Has handled high-severity production issues
✔ Can move between debugging and writing production-grade code

Skills Required
- 6+ years of experience in backend development and production support
- Experience working on scalable, high-traffic systems
- Strong debugging skills across application, database, API integration, and asynchronous systems or queues
- Understanding of REST APIs
- Understanding of microservices architecture
- Understanding of caching, preferably Redis
- Understanding of SQL databases
- Experience handling production incidents
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on experience with Node.js and JavaScript
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
- Experience with logging and monitoring tools such as ELK or Grafana
