Wolters Kluwer

Wolters Kluwer delivers expert solutions that combine deep domain knowledge with advanced technology, enabling professionals to make better decisions, stay compliant with complex regulations, and improve outcomes. Its portfolio spans industries such as Health, Tax & Accounting, Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), and Legal & Regulatory. Innovation, digital transformation, and responsible business practices are core to Wolters Kluwer’s long-term strategy.

Twinfield, part of Wolters Kluwer, is a cloud‑based accounting software solution designed for businesses and accounting professionals. It streamlines financial administration by automating bookkeeping, invoicing, cash flow management, and reporting in real time. Twinfield is known for its strong compliance capabilities, security, and integration options, making it well suited for SMEs, international organizations, and accounting firms. You will be part of the ‘Tech B.V.’ team, which focuses on development, service and delivery of technology solutions that support Twinfield’s digital products and services.

The role

As a Senior Product Owner, you act as a product leader within the Twinfield Accounting domain, owning the vision, outcomes, and execution for a critical part of the product. You work closely with Product Management, Engineering, UX, and key business stakeholders to shape, prioritize, and deliver product initiatives that create measurable customer and business value.

You work with development teams based in the Netherlands (Hoevelaken) and Pune (India) and play a key role in aligning product strategy with execution across teams in a scaled Agile (SAFe) environment.

Product strategy & vision

  • Own and articulate the product vision and roadmap for your product area, aligned with Twinfield’s overall strategy.
  • Translate strategic goals into multi-quarter roadmaps with clear outcomes and success criteria.
  • Actively contribute to product strategy formation by identifying opportunities, risks, and trade-offs between business value, customer needs, regulatory constraints, and delivery capacity.
  • Make and defend prioritization decisions in collaboration with Product Management and senior stakeholders.

Outcome-driven product ownership

  • Take end-to-end accountability for product outcomes, not just delivery.
  • Define and track success metrics such as adoption, usage, customer satisfaction, retention, and operational efficiency.
  • Use value-based prioritization to ensure the team is working on the highest-impact items.
  • Validate assumptions and hypotheses after release and adjust direction based on measurable results.

Data, discovery & customer insight

  • Use product analytics, customer feedback, and market insights to guide decision-making.
  • Combine qualitative inputs (customer interviews, usability findings) with quantitative data (usage metrics, experiments).
  • Drive continuous discovery together with UX and stakeholders, ensuring solutions address real customer problems.
  • Convert insights into clear backlog items, roadmap adjustments, and strategic recommendations.

Execution & Agile leadership (SAFe)

  • Own and maintain a well-structured, transparent, and prioritized team backlog.
  • Write high-quality epics and user stories with clear acceptance criteria, working closely with UX and Business Analysts.
  • Act as Product Owner within a SAFe Agile Release Train (ART):
    • Contribute to PI Planning
    • Align team backlogs with Program and Portfolio objectives
    • Collaborate closely with Product Management and other Product Owners across the ART
  • Partner with Engineering to balance scope, quality, risk, and delivery predictability.
  • Foster a strong product mindset within the team, focused on value, learning, and continuous improvement.

Stakeholder leadership & communication

  • Serve as the primary product contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Influence and align senior stakeholders across business, technology, UX, compliance, and operations.
  • Navigate conflicting priorities and drive decision-making with clarity and transparency.
  • Ensure effective communication of product changes and outcomes to customers and internal audiences.

Domain & regulatory responsibility

  • Ensure that product decisions reflect accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and compliance constraints.
  • Operate with a strong awareness of data sensitivity, security, and customer trust.
  • Collaborate with legal, compliance, and domain experts to ensure solutions meet regulatory standards while remaining user-friendly.

Your profile

You are a senior Product Owner and product leader who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You are comfortable making decisions under uncertainty and taking ownership for outcomes. You communicate clearly at all levels of the organization and confidently challenge assumptions when needed.

You bring:

  • Strong ownership mindset and accountability for results
  • Ability to influence without formal authority
  • Structured thinking and pragmatic decision-making
  • A customer-first mentality grounded in real-world data
  • Mentorship and leadership towards teams and peers

Given our customer base, you are native Dutch-speaking and fluent in English.

Experience & qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, IT, or a related field
  • 4–8+ years of experience as a Product Owner in an Agile/Scrum environment, including complex software products
  • Proven experience owning product outcomes and roadmaps, not only backlogs
  • Experience working in scaled Agile environments (SAFe), including PI Planning and cross-team alignment
  • Familiarity with product and Agile tooling (e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, road mapping tools)
  • Experience collaborating with distributed and remote teams
  • Domain experience in accounting, fintech, or regulated SaaS environments is a strong advantage
  • Relevant certifications such as CSPO and/or SAFe POPM are a plus
  • Willingness to travel to our Pune office 1–2 times per year

Our offer

  • 36–40 hour working week with flexible working hours
  • Hybrid working model (up to 2 office days per week)
  • Competitive salary aligned with senior-level responsibility
  • 25 vacation days (based on 40 hours)
  • 50% pension contribution reimbursed by Wolters Kluwer
  • Informal, collaborative working environment with regular events
  • Daily lunch buffet, fresh fruit, and great coffee
