We're seeking a Senior Product Experience Manager to lead multiple squads within Experience Delivery in the Client Product Management organization. You'll own the delivery, quality, and growth of a multidisciplinary team holding the craft and evidence bar, developing your senior ICs into leaders, and protecting the role boundaries that keep your team doing its highest-value work.

This role sits at the intersection of people leadership, craft quality, and delivery. You understand the strategic intent behind your area's work and translate it into team focus, staffing, and operating objectives. You'll drive decisions across your squads: where an IC is ready to stretch vs. where they need support, when the evidence bar has been met vs. when work is built on assumption, and when a craft miss is a coaching moment vs. when it stops a launch. You'll push back when work is committed without the evidence to support it, and when unstaffed functions start landing on your team. You build the team that owns the experience, you hold the gate on what ships, and you hold the line on what your team should never have to carry.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead multiple squads and set their direction. Translate area vision into team focus and staffing, establish operating objectives across your squads, and coach ICs on strategic framing.

  • Grow the people. Own 1:1s, coaching, performance management, growth, leveling and calibration input, and hiring for your team. Develop your senior ICs into leaders, and build a healthy critique and feedback culture. Escalate hiring gaps against plan, sustained under-performance without a plan, and attrition risk on a key surface rather than absorbing them quietly.

  • Hold the evidence bar. Enable discovery and instrumentation across your team and unblock research and data access. Halt or escalate when a build is about to start without validated evidence or with instrumentation missing.

  • Drive definition quality. Own experience definition-of-ready and acceptance-criteria guidelines for your squads, and intervene when acceptance criteria are unclear, a success metric is undefined, or functional intent isn't settled before tickets are cut.

  • Own squad-level delivery and the craft bar. Manage planning, hold the quality bar through critique that changes the work, and partner with engineering leadership to keep the design→execution process smooth.

  • Own capacity. Own project-level staffing, balance Product Experience Lead and Design Technologist capacity across squads.

  • Ensure launch quality. Ensure VQA sign-offs happen and the experience quality gate is met across squads, support the product-marketing partnership at team level, and escalate any launch proceeding without sign-off.

  • Close the loop after launch. Review adoption and experience metrics and post-launch findings across your squads, hold ICs to a remediation plan when results miss, and feed what you learn back into your area's focus and capacity.

What You'll Bring:

  • A track record of developing ICs into stronger ICs and into leaders. You've grown people through coaching, feedback, and performance management, and built teams that raise their own bar.

  • The ability to raise quality across multiple teams. You've driven meaningful, durable improvements in craft and rigor, not just shipped work.

  • Research and experimentation rigor. You build discovery and validation discipline across squads so teams commit to build on evidence.

  • Cross-functional alignment. You align multiple Product Strategy, Engineering, Platform, and Marketing partners and translate between them.

  • Operational ownership. You own outcomes across an area, anticipate cross-squad risk and dependency, and keep delivery predictable.

  • A protective instinct for the craft. You defend your team's capacity and role boundaries so your ICs do their highest-value work — and you're willing to document a gap rather than paper over it.

  • Strong written and verbal communication. You can give hard feedback well, make a capacity case to leadership, and explain a craft standard to a partner who doesn't share your vocabulary.

  • The ability to scale a responsible AI practice. You bring AI into the team's workflow with judgment about where it helps, where it needs a human in the loop, and what the team is accountable for either way.

Education & Experience

  • Related experience includes leading product design, product management, or experience teams in a software environment, with accountability for delivery and quality across more than one squad.

  • A track record of accountability for an area's operational outcomes and delivery across multiple teams.

  • Experience leading or partnering closely with technical design practitioners — design engineers, design technologists, or front-end engineers embedded in design.

  • Solid understanding of AI principles and fundamentals, and experience using AI in day-to-day team practice for automation and quality improvement.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of related experience, including 4+ years of people management with responsibility for more than one team or squad.
