Marketing today is a product discipline. The teams driving growth are built on data, systems, experimentation, and technical execution. We're looking for a Sr. Product Manager, Paid Search to own both the technical foundation and business strategy behind our search marketing programs — starting with Google and Bing paid search, and expanding AI-enabled capabilities across our growth engine.
We are looking for a growth-minded Product Manager to sit at the intersection of engineering, data, AI, and search marketing strategy. This isn't a marketing support role; you are the architect of a technical growth engine, building the systems and workflows that drive scaled, efficient acquisition through search. You will own the strategy, automation roadmap, and optimization cycles for the SEM platforms and products you build.
Leading a multidisciplinary squad of agency partners, data scientists, and business stakeholders, you will tackle one of our most critical challenges: innovating new, AI-enabled ways to find and convert potential homebuyers through search. You'll have the autonomy to experiment, the data to move fast, and the resources to drive massive, measurable impact on our business trajectory.
What You'll Do
- Own the end-to-end development and performance of SEM platforms and workflows (Google Ads, Microsoft/Bing Ads, and related tooling), from strategy and system design through execution, measurement, and optimization for Seller Line of Business
- Identify, design, and launch new SEM products that leverage automation and AI to expand growth capacity such as systems that accelerate keyword and bid management, ad copy generation, landing page, campaign structuring, and experimentation.
- Build and evolve core platforms for search media automation, bidding, budget management, feed/inventory management, and performance optimization.
- Partner with Marketing, Analytics, Data Science, and Engineering to design and deliver high-impact growth capabilities across SEM and adjacent paid search surfaces
- Translate business and marketing objectives into measurable product outcomes through experimentation, automation, and improved data quality across the SEM stack.
- Lead product discovery and agile delivery, shipping incremental value while building durable, extensible SEM infrastructure.
- Develop AI-enabled and LLM-first workflows that improve decision-making, efficiency, and learning velocity across search media programs (e.g., automated QA, anomaly detection, bid strategy recommendations).
- Communicate priorities, progress, and trade-offs clearly to senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
- Collaborate with external platform partners (e.g., Google, Microsoft) to ensure strong integrations and adoption of SEM best practices.
- Ensure operational excellence of SEM systems, proactively identifying and resolving issues that impact performance, spend efficiency, or reliability.
How We Work
We balance creativity and innovation on a foundation of in-person collaboration. For most roles, our employees work three or more days in our offices, where they have the opportunity to collaborate in-person, adding richness to our culture and knitting us closer together.
Who You Are
- A product-minded growth leader who treats SEM platforms and workflows as scalable software products.
- Comfortable operating at the intersection of search marketing strategy, data, and technology.
- Equally strong in strategic planning and hands-on execution, from defining roadmaps to working through detailed bid/budget/feed logic and edge cases.
- Highly analytical, with a deep interest in experimentation, attribution, and incremental measurement of search spend.
- Skilled at translating complex, manual SEM processes into automated, repeatable systems.
- A strong collaborator who can influence across teams and align stakeholders around shared growth outcomes.
- Naturally curious, outcome-oriented, and comfortable navigating ambiguity in fast-moving environments.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- 8+ years of experience in SEM, analytics, data enablement, or marketing technology, with a focus on building systems that support search marketing teams.
- Hands-on experience managing large-scale Google Ads and/or Microsoft Ads accounts, including automated bidding strategies, campaign structuring, and budget pacing.
- Demonstrated experience applying AI/LLMs to operational workflows — such as bid optimization, ad copy generation, keyword clustering, or automated QA.
- Proven experience working in or leading Agile development processes and planning workflows.
- Proficiency with SQL and a strong understanding of data architecture, pipelines, and measurement.
Bonus Points
- Experience Google Ads Scripts/API, or Microsoft Advertising API for programmatic campaign management.
- Experience administering Amplitude or similar product analytics platforms.
- Experience building AI-powered automation workflows using tools like n8n, Zapier AI, or similar platforms to streamline SEM operations.
- Familiarity with Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, server-side tagging, or similar tracking implementations.
- Familiarity with Hightouch, Fivetran, or similar data integration and reverse ETL tools.
- Experience with feed-based SEM campaigns (Shopping, PMax) requiring technical feed management at scale.
- Exposure to broader performance marketing strategies and brand KPIs.
- Background in platform governance — defining standards, documentation, and enablement for shared SEM tools.
