About the Role: You’ll lead Revenue Accounting for CoreWeave’s Software and SaaS revenue streams, which include SaaS usage-based commitment contracts.  In this position, you’ll develop and automate numerous processes, review contracts for proper accounting treatment under ASC 606 and develop and perform SOX internal controls. You’ll lead a Software and SaaS Revenue Accounting team, primarily responsible for the financial close of revenue accounts and revenue forecasting and reporting processes related to Software and SaaS. In this role, you will have an opportunity to have an enormous impact on the future of CoreWeave through your decisions, hiring and training of your team. This individual will also lead the accounting for deferred commissions related to Software and SaaS. This role reports to the Head of Commercial (Revenue) Accounting.

Key Responsibilities

For the Software and SaaS revenue streams:

  • Lead the month-end close process for Revenue, Billing and Commissions
  • Review financial close journal entries, reconciliations and analyses, as well as fluctuation explanations
  • Present revenue and commissions related information to executives and others
  • Partner extensively with the Technical Revenue and Compute Revenue Accounting teams as well as others including FP&A, GL Accounting, Product Management, Revenue Operations and Sales 
  • Proactively identify opportunities for both large and small process improvements and propose and implement solutions
  • Be the leader for Commercial Accounting on certain high-profile projects and system implementations
  • Improve the Company’s revenue accounting process to increase automation and reporting capabilities and efficiency
  • Hire into and develop the Software and SaaS Revenue Accounting team
  • Own the revenue forecast in partnership with FP&A
  • Design, implement and perform numerous SOX controls
  • Evaluate new product introductions or upstream process changes for impacts to the Software and SaaS Revenue Accounting team’s activities and processes

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in Revenue Accounting at a high-growth tech company
  • 2+ years at Manager or above within a public company 
  • 3+ years of Big 4 audit experience
  • Strong knowledge of ASC 606 as it applies to Software and SaaS, including usage-based commit SaaS contracts
  • Strong knowledge of accounting for deferred commissions under ASC 340-40
  • Deep knowledge of Netsuite ARM
  • Significant experience improving revenue accounting processes
  • Excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail, and strong written and oral communication skills
  • Comfortable rolling up sleeves and getting into the details

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Revenue system or ERP implementations

The base pay and target total cash for this position range from $149,000 to $198,000 and $178,000 to $238,000, accordingly. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position includes a discretionary bonus, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Our Workplace

While we prioritize a hybrid work environment, remote work may be considered for candidates located more than 30 miles from an office, based on role requirements for specialized skill sets. New hires will be invited to attend onboarding at one of our hubs within their first month. Teams also gather quarterly to support collaboration
