Summary Generated by Built In

Ibotta is seeking a Senior Manager of Lifecycle Marketing to join our innovative team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding. You will own the strategy behind how Ibotta Savers discover, engage with, and keep coming back to Ibotta to drive revenue for the business. This role sits at the heart of our D2C Marketing team, spanning onboarding, engagement, retention, and win-back, along with the bonus and rewards programming that powers our biggest tentpole moments.

You'll lead a team of lifecycle marketers that turns data into personalized, always-on and seasonal Saver journeys across email, push, in-app, and SMS. But the scope goes beyond sending great campaigns. You'll build the playbook for how Ibotta thinks about the entire Saver lifecycle: connecting evergreen programs, tentpole campaigns, and new product launches into one cohesive experience that drives activation, redemption, and long-term retention. If you're a consumer-obsessed marketer who loves behavioral segmentation, experimentation, and building programs that scale, this is your role.

This position is located in Denver, Colorado as a hybrid position requiring 3 days in office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Candidates must live in the United States.

Not based in Denver? We will offer a relocation bonus to help make your move to the Mile High City a smooth one.

What you will be doing:

  • Design, build, and continuously optimize always-on journeys in Braze across email, push, and in-app messaging,

  • Develop a segmentation and personalization framework that delivers the right message to the right Saver at the right moment, based on behavior, tenure, and value

  • Identify key drop-off points across the Saver journey and use data to design interventions that drive activation, engagement, and reactivation

Bonus, Rewards & Tentpole Programming
  • Lead lifecycle strategy and execution for bonus and rewards programs, including evergreen bonuses and seasonal tentpoles (e.g., Thanksgiving, Back to School, holiday)

  • Partner with Finance, Analytics, and Marketing Operations to plan, manage, and optimize lifecycle and bonus budgets, ensuring every dollar drives incremental Saver value

  • Own the lifecycle rewards programming calendar, coordinating timing, offer strategy, and messaging across channels and teams

  • Collaborate with Sales and Client teams to integrate brand and retailer partnerships (including sponsorships) into Saver-facing lifecycle programs

Measurement, Experimentation & Team Leadership
  • Define success metrics for the lifecycle program (activation, redemption, retention, reactivation, incrementality) and build the reporting to track and optimize against them

  • Champion a test-and-learn culture through rigorous A/B and holdout testing, turning insights into repeatable playbooks

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data to shape lifecycle tooling, triggers, and data infrastructure, and to bring lifecycle thinking into new product launches

  • Lead, coach, and grow a team of lifecycle marketers, setting clear priorities and raising the bar on strategy, craft, and operational excellence

  • Partner with Integrated, Creative, User Acquisition, and Care teams on coordinated, multi-channel campaigns that make Ibotta feel like one seamless experience

  • Embrace and uphold Ibotta's Core Values: Integrity, Boldness, Ownership, Teamwork, Transparency & A good idea can come from anywhere

  • Proven track record building and scaling lifecycle programs that measurably improved activation, engagement, and retention

  • Hands-on expertise with Braze or similar customer engagement platforms (e.g., Iterable, Salesforce Marketing Cloud)

  • Experience managing incentive, bonus, loyalty, or rewards programs and their associated budgets

  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to define KPIs, design experiments, interpret results, and pivot quickly; comfort with Looker or similar BI tools

  • Experience speaking the language of roadmaps, experimentation, and sprint cycles with Product and Engineering partners

  • Excellent communicator who can rally cross-functional teams and present strategy and results to senior leadership

  • Background in D2C, consumer apps, marketplaces, or loyalty/rewards products

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
