Job Description

About the role

Global Brand Development (GBD) is looking for an operationally minded marketing leader who brings rigor, clarity, and momentum to how a global brand function delivers its work.  If you love turning ambitious brand plans into well-run projects, thrive on making complex work feel simple, and take pride in being the person who keeps everything on track — this role is for you.

We offer a hybrid working model called Best of Both: three days in our Billund or Copenhagen office and up to two days from home.  No relocation assistance is offered for this role.

Required Qualifications

  • Significant experience leading complex global marketing, operations, transformation, or portfolio programs.

  • Recognized expertise in program leadership, governance, resource management, and organizational operations.

  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale cross-functional initiatives with significant business impact.

  • Experience establishing and evolving operating models, governance structures, and delivery frameworks.

  • Strong strategic thinking capabilities, with the ability to connect organizational priorities to operational execution.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, including experience advising leadership teams and guiding executive discussions.

  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and shape decision-making across a complex stakeholder landscape.

  • Demonstrated ability to coach colleagues, strengthen delivery capabilities, and drive continuous improvement at scale.

What you'll build/drive

  • GBD’s operating model: Own and continuously evolve the GBD operating model, governance framework, planning processes, and delivery cadences.  Ensure ways of working enable the function to execute against strategic priorities while maintaining clarity, alignment, and accountability across teams.

  • Portfolio delivery leadership: Provide strategic oversight of the GBD project portfolio, maintaining visibility of priorities, dependencies, risks, resource requirements, and delivery performance.  Advise the GBD Leadership Team on portfolio trade-offs, delivery risks, and opportunities to improve organizational effectiveness.

  • Campaign Operations for Global Brand Campaigns: Provide leadership for campaign operations across Global Brand Campaigns, partnering with OLA, EP&C, and Brand teams to establish scalable governance, decision-making frameworks, and delivery standards that improve predictability, quality, and performance.

  • Strategic leadership: Act as a trusted advisor to the GBD Leadership Team by shaping strategic agendas, enabling decision-making, surfacing organizational risks and opportunities, and ensuring focus on the initiatives that will create the greatest impact.

  • Support enterprise initiatives: Lead high-impact cross-functional initiatives that address strategic opportunities, organizational priorities, or business challenges. Define approaches, align stakeholders, and ensure delivery of measurable outcomes in partnership with leaders across the LEGO Group.

  • Build organizational capability: Coach teams and project leaders on operational excellence, project governance, prioritization, and delivery best practices. Champion a culture of continuous improvement and accountability across GBD.

Life on the team

Joining the Global Brand Development team means getting to be a part of steering how we develop our brand in the market, and driving continuous improvement within the business team responsible for navigating that journey.  Specifically, this individual will support the key Global Brand Operations responsibilities of:

  • Drive continuous improvement: identify operational inefficiencies or process gaps, propose & implement optimizations, and build scalable structures to support growth & increasing complexity.

  • Ensure governance, compliance, and clarity of roles and responsibilities when navigating complex scenarios (e.g., xF partnership and campaigns across PGs, EP&C, DCE, OLA, Markets).

The team works in a very integrated fashion, as the three components of Global Brand Operations have many interdependencies.  These components are Brand Performance and Prioritization, Brand Wiring into the broader LEGO Group, and internal Global Brand Development functional operations.  We operate with weekly Global Brand Operations team meetings and monthly Global Brand Development functional meetings.

What success looks like

Success means your work has helped all GBD team members know how we operate, understand why, and have clarity on the expectations for how we all engage with each other, and with the OLA organization (internal agency).  You will have taken a strong outcome focus, understand the external market-facing impact the company is trying to deliver, and recognize that creating structure and leveraging our internal processes are tools to deliver those outcomes.

Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis. However, please note we do amend or withdraw our jobs and reserve the right to do so at any time, including prior to any advertised closing date. So, if you're interested in this role we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.
