HR GENERALIST
This is an exciting opportunity within our HR Operations organization to make a meaningful impact at the national level in Italy while collaborating with European and global teams. In this role, you will provide HR guidance and support to managers and employees, both operationally and through project-based initiatives, ensuring compliance with local regulations and practices in an international environment.
As the HR function evolves in response to employee expectations, regulatory changes, and technological advancements, you will play a key role in adapting processes and aligning strategies. By managing a broad range of HR activities, you will identify and implement opportunities to enhance the employee experience, improve business outcomes, and support strategic initiatives.
Reporting to: Associate Director, HR Italy
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Advisory and Support
Provide guidance to managers and employees across the full employee lifecycle, including:
- Employment benefits and regulatory compliance
- Absenteeism management and reintegration
- Local accountability for compensation processes
- HR programs and administrative matters
- Mobility and flexible work arrangements
- Engagement and retention initiatives
- Performance management
- Employee relations
2. Project and Process Management
Support and manage HR projects and tasks in collaboration with business leaders, HR teams, and Centers of Expertise (COEs), including:
- Payroll and administrative activities
- Implementation of HR policies and solutions
- Support for organizational restructuring plans
- HR technology deployment
- Organizational development initiatives
- Reward frameworks, job evaluation, and recognition programs
- Employee engagement and development programs
3. Works Council Support
- Facilitate reporting and information exchange
- Ensure legal documentation and compliance
- Assist in managing and executing agreements, ensuring alignment with company strategy and providing operational support to the HR team
Education
- Degree in Human Resources, Law, or Business Management (or equivalent)
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of operational and advisory HR experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of employment regulations and HR administration
- Proven track record in managing projects and organizational change
- Experience in a global company preferred
- Background in technology or professional services is a plus
- Familiarity with complex matrix organizations advantageous
- Proficiency in HCM systems (preferably Workday) and Microsoft Office
