About Neuberger's Human Capital Management Team
Neuberger's Human Capital Management (HCM) team serves as a strategic partner to the firm's global business divisions, driving people strategy, organizational effectiveness, and talent development across the enterprise. Our HCM professionals work closely with senior leadership and managers to align human capital initiatives with business objectives — spanning talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, employee relations, and organizational design.
The HCM Business Partner function is at the center of this work. Our Business Partners are embedded advisors who bring both strategic perspective and hands-on execution to the client groups they serve — translating business needs into impactful people programs and ensuring a consistent, high-quality employee experience across the firm.
Position Summary
Neuberger's Human Capital Management Team is seeking an experienced HCM Business Partner to support Operating Platform business areas from our New York office. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders and managers, providing expert HR guidance across the full employee lifecycle — from organizational planning and talent development to employee relations and compensation management.
This is a high-impact, hands-on role suited for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and brings both strategic acumen and strong operational discipline.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and senior leaders, providing Human Capital expertise in support of business initiatives and employee engagement strategies
Identify, frame, and resolve HR issues with the ability to balance strategic thinking with practical, tactical execution
Coach and collaborate with managers on key people topics including employee engagement, change management, and organizational effectiveness
Lead and contribute to the development and implementation of HCM programs, including:
Onboarding and new employee assimilation
Performance management and career development
Promotions and recognition programs
Training and development initiatives
Annual compensation review process
Partner with business leaders to develop creative, effective solutions to workforce and employee effectiveness challenges
Provide guidance and coaching to both managers and employees on employee relations matters
Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of HR including position management, staffing plans, compensation management, headcount tracking, and turnover analysis
Required Qualifications
10+ years of HCM Business Partner experience, including time in a fast-paced, dynamic environment within financial services and/or asset management and alternatives investment management.
Deep expertise across core HR disciplines including employee engagement, performance management, employee relations, and compensation planning
Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly frame issues and present solutions to stakeholders at all levels
Proven project management capabilities, with experience managing both client-facing initiatives and internal HR team projects
Collaborative, relationship-driven style with a strong client service orientation and team-first mindset
Demonstrated flexibility in managing competing priorities and adapting to shifting business needs
Hands-on approach with comfort operating within a mid-sized HR team
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with Workday HRIS

The salary range for this role is $180,000-$220,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the job posting location. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, business sector, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, market benchmarking data, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, which, along with base salary and retirement contributions, is part of our total comprehensive package. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, retirement, life insurance and other benefits to eligible employees.Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable.
