Team Overview
The Enterprise Data Warehouse team within TransUnion Consumer Interactive is responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining a large-scale data ecosystem and associated data marts that support both transactional and analytical workloads. The platform processes billions of records and enables decision-making for executive stakeholders.This team plays a critical role in ensuring data availability, reliability, and scalability across enterprise products and analytics. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
Role Overview And Core Responsibilities
- Evolve the technology stack, including ETL orchestration, data modeling, and BI tooling (e.g., Apache Superset), ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability
- Architect and lead the end-to-end design of scalable analytics pipelines, integrating data from diverse sources including RDBMS, APU, and DataLake (S3).
- Define, implement, and enforce engineering standards for data ingestion, transformation, and reporting to ensure consistency and quality across teams
- Lead deployment, monitoring, and operational support of production-grade pipelines, improving uptime, performance, and adaptability to upstream changes
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and measurable business outcomes
- Establish and maintain governance frameworks, including data documentation, lineage, and reproducibility standards to support audit and compliance needs
- Assist junior engineers and analysts, promoting best practices in data engineering, development, and operational excellence
- Identify and implement improvements in pipeline efficiency, data quality, and platform scalability through automation and tooling enhancements

- Strong understanding of data architecture and infrastructure; required to optimize storage, compute, and data access patterns
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Analytics, or equivalent practical experience; required for foundational and advanced technical expertise

- Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and automation frameworks — improves deployment consistency and efficiency
- Experience working in agile environments — supports prioritization and delivery across competing demands

- SQL (Structured Query Language) — required for advanced data modeling, transformation, and performance optimization
- Python — required for data processing, pipeline development, and analytical workflows
- Shell scripting (e.g., Bash) — required to automate deployments and operational tasks
