The Role

What You'll Do: 

Billtrust is seeking a dynamic Senior Director of Marketing Communications to drive our corporate narrative and enhance our brand reputation. In this pivotal role, you'll lead a talented team and collaborate closely with executive leadership and marketing teams to deliver strategic, high-impact communication initiatives. 

  • Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive corporate communication strategy that aligns with Billtrust’s mission and business priorities. Continuously refine messaging and channels to effectively share the Billtrust story. 
  • Public Relations: Manage strategic brand reputation and oversee the execution of PR plans, including media relations and crisis communication. Establish executive thought leadership and enhance the company’s profile through industry awards and speaking opportunities. 
  • Internal Communications: Design and implement strategies to keep employees engaged and aligned with company goals. Manage key internal communication channels such as newsletters and meetings. 
  • Analyst Relations: Build and maintain relationships with industry analysts to support company positioning and influence market perception. Coordinate analyst engagements and research initiatives. 
  • Customer Advocacy: Develop programs to empower customers as advocates and manage customer reference databases. Enhance customer engagement and oversee presence on peer-to-peer networking sites. 
  • Social Media: Craft and oversee social media strategies to boost brand presence and engagement. Analyze metrics to optimize performance and partner cross-functionally to align social strategies. 

 

What You'll Bring to the Team:

    • 10+ years of experience in B2B marketing and/or communications 
    • Proven success in leading marketing communications teams 
    • Exceptional written and oral communication skills 
    • Experience managing agencies and budgets 
    • Strong project management abilities 
    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or related field 
    • B2B technology experience preferred; Fintech background a plus 


    The expected base salary range for this position is $160,000 - $250,000 annually.
    Compensation may vary depending on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for extra incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses. Further details will be provided by our Talent Acquisition team during the interview process.
