Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Developer with strong hands-on experience in AWS and Amazon Connect digital solutions, focused on delivering GenAI-powered customer and agent experiences. The role supports migration from Genesys and LivePerson to Amazon Connect and the development of AI-driven conversational and agent-assist solutions using Amazon Q, Amazon Bedrock, Agent Core, and Strands Agents.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop scalable solutions for Amazon Connect digital channels (chat, SMS, email, WhatsApp)
- Implementation of GenAI-driven features using Amazon Bedrock, Lex, and SageMaker to enhance customer and agent experiences
- Build and maintain backend services and orchestration workflows using Python, AWS Lambda, Step Functions, and API Gateway
- Collaborate with product managers, solution architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact features
- Develop reusable frameworks and automation tools to accelerate digital migration from Genesys and LivePerson
- Design, develop, and enhance Amazon Connect Chat and digital contact center solutions
- Build and integrate AI Agents and GenAI capabilities using Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Q, Agent Core, and Strands Agents
- Implement serverless and event-driven architectures using AWS services
- Develop backend services using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, EventBridge, and Step Functions
- Create secure and scalable integrations between Amazon Connect, AI services, and enterprise systems
- Support migration activities from Genesys and LivePerson to Amazon Connect
- Collaborate with architects, product teams, and QA to deliver high-quality solutions
- Participate in technical design reviews and mentor junior engineers

Required Qualifications:
- 5+years of total software development experience
- 2+ years of relevant hands-on experience in AWS, Amazon Connect, or GenAI solutions
- Solid experience with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB/Aurora, S3, IAM, and CloudWatch
- Hands-on experience with Amazon Connect Chat and digital contact flows
- Experience with GenAI technologies including Amazon Bedrock and Amazon Q
- Experience building REST APIs, asynchronous workflows, and microservices
- Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum development practices
- Familiarity with AI agent frameworks such as Agent Core and Strands Agents
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with contact center platforms such as Amazon Connect, Genesys, or LivePerson
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience with multi-channel digital customer journeys
- Exposure to conversational AI, NLP, and LLM-based chatbot solutions
- Understanding of observability, monitoring, and AI response quality
