At Rocket India, we don't just store data - we unlock its power to transform how people find, finance, and keep their homes. Our data platforms are the foundation upon which intelligent decisions are made at speed and scale, and we need a seasoned Snowflake Database Administrator to own that foundation with confidence and precision. You'll be the expert the team relies on when governance needs tightening, performance needs pushing, and costs need controlling. If you bring years of battle-tested Snowflake expertise, a passion for platform excellence, and the drive to make enterprise-grade data infrastructure look effortless - this is where your experience meets its full potential.
About the Role
  • Own end-to-end Snowflake platform administration including virtual warehouses, resource monitors, databases, shares, and storage integrations across environments
  • Implement, audit, and continuously refine Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), row/column-level security, and data masking policies to maintain enterprise-grade security and governance
  • Monitor query history, identify performance bottlenecks, tune slow-running queries, and track credit consumption to systematically reduce cloud spend
  • Configure and maintain cross-region replication, failover strategies, disaster recovery plans, and time-travel/fail-safe retention policies for comprehensive data protection
  • Partner with data engineers and CI/CD pipelines to support schema evolutions, code deployments, and database migrations with minimal disruption
  • Establish best practices, runbooks, and operational standards for Snowflake administration across the organization
  • Proactively identify risks, capacity constraints, and optimization opportunities before they impact production workloads

About You
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5-8 years of IT experience with at least 2+ years dedicated to Snowflake administration
  • Advanced SQL proficiency for complex data management, performance troubleshooting, and optimization
  • Shell scripting expertise for automating administrative workflows and operational tasks
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their integration patterns with Snowflake
  • Deep grasp of Snowflake architecture, credit models, data sharing mechanisms, and security governance frameworks
  • Proven ability to manage platform performance and cost at enterprise scale
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn new technologies based on organizational requirements

Preferred Qualifications:
  • SnowPro Core or SnowPro Advanced Database Administrator certification
  • Experience designing and implementing RBAC hierarchies and governance models for large, multi-team organizations
  • Hands-on experience with disaster recovery testing, failover orchestration, and cross-region replication strategies
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Pulumi) for Snowflake resource provisioning and management
  • Experience with CI/CD-driven database change management using dbt, Flyway, Schemachange, or similar tools
  • Track record of measurably reducing Snowflake credit consumption through optimization initiatives
  • Experience mentoring junior administrators or data engineers on Snowflake best practices
  • Background in mortgage, financial services, or another regulated industry
  • Familiarity with FinOps principles and cloud cost governance frameworks

We offer competitive compensation that reflects your depth of experience, comprehensive health benefits, flexible work arrangements, certification sponsorship, and a culture built on trust, ownership, and continuous learning.
