Description
The Senior Consultant plays a pivotal role in guiding executive leadership through strategic planning, process improvement, and performance management. This position ensures alignment with Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and government directives while providing expert coaching and oversight to enhance organizational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate senior-level strategy sessions and workshops at critical milestones
- Review and align strategic plan updates with DHS and government directives
- Provide executive guidance on business strategy evaluations and mission-support delivery models
- Oversee process improvement methodologies and performance management programs
- Coach organizational leadership to foster engagement in performance management
- Manage business and project management support services to advance senior leader priorities
- Available to Contracting Officer Representative (COR) by phone during business hours (7:30 AM - 5:00 PM ET, Monday through Friday)
- Respond to technical issues within four hours of notification
Requirements
Education Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
- Must have PMP/DHS mid-level PM certification (or equivalent)
- 7 years relevant experience, or 5 years with a Master’s degree or higher
- Part-time position
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Office Suite, Project, Access, Python, Office365, and SharePoint
- Experience supporting government agencies in national security, homeland security, or law enforcement missions
- Ability to learn and use program management tools
- Experience in program/project management, meeting facilitation, strategic communications, and organizational change management
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
