Wolters Kluwer

Wolters Kluwer delivers expert solutions that combine deep domain knowledge with advanced technology, enabling professionals to make better decisions, stay compliant with complex regulations, and improve outcomes. Our portfolio spans industries such as Health, Tax & Accounting, Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), and Legal & Regulatory. Innovation, digital transformation, and responsible business practices are core to Wolters Kluwer’s long-term strategy.

Your environment

You will be part of the Europe Region West team within Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting. Based in Hoevelaken, you will collaborate closely with colleagues in Belgium and the UK.

Within Product Operations, the Business Systems team consists of nine people supporting critical systems such as CRM, ERP, and related applications. We are entering a period of significant transformation where we harmonize systems and processes across countries. This role will help support that change by delivering detailed analysis and solutions for local country challenges.

Why this role exists

We’re looking for a Business Systems Analyst who brings clarity to complexity. Not by producing more documentation, but by helping teams truly understand how processes work today—and what needs to change to make them scalable, consistent, and future-proof.

What you’ll do

Turn complexity into clarity

  • Analyse existing processes, systems, and ways of working across countries
  • Translate business needs into clear problem statements and structured requirements
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise, and harmonise
  • Support decisions on what should be standardised vs. kept local
  • Surface risks, gaps, and dependencies early
  • Work closely with stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Support, Product, and IT.

Enable adoption, challenge and improve

  • Create documentation that makes complex changes understandable
  • Support teams during implementation and change
  • Ensure that new solutions are actually used and deliver value
  • Ask the right questions—even in senior or large group settings
  • Bring constructive, critical thinking to discussions

What this role is not

  • You are not doing deep technical configuration or development work
  • You are not focused on a single application—you oversee a broader landscape
  • You are not defining the target architecture—but you influence it by clarifying local needs, gaps, and constraints
  • You are not leading a program or projects - you are an individual contributor working in a team.

Your working context

You operate in an environment with:

  • Multiple countries, each with their own legacy and processes
  • A mix of legacy systems and modern SaaS platforms
  • Strong dependencies between business teams, product, and central IT

This makes the role complex. What you help shape will be used at scale.

How you work

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Understands how things work in practice—not just on paper
  • Can move between big-picture thinking and hands-on analysis
  • Brings structure without overcomplicating
  • Is comfortable challenging assumptions
  • Knows when to push for standardisation and when flexibility is needed

Experience we care about (not checkboxes)

Strong signals include:

  • Experience as a Business Analyst, Business Consultant, or similar (5+ years)
  • Working in international or matrix organisations
  • Involvement in system implementations, migrations, or transformations
  • Improving processes by simplifying and structuring, not adding complexity
  • Communicating effectively across different levels, including senior stakeholders

Fluency in English is required. Dutch is a strong plus.

Practicalities

  • Willingness to travel within the region
  • Occasional stays abroad (a few days up to a week)

What will help you succeed

  • A collaborative mindset
  • Curiosity and a strong ability to learn quickly
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity
