Job Description
As Senior Business Development Manager for Marine Site Characterization (MSC) in Norway, you will focus on building and maintaining client relationships, identifying opportunities, and supporting the conversion of opportunities into wins. Working as part of the regional commercial team, you will contribute to business development, tendering, and contract negotiations.
You will collaborate closely with technical specialists, project managers, and operations to develop competitive, value-driven proposals and deliver integrated solutions. In addition, you will interface with regional commercial and business development teams to ensure alignment on strategy, market positioning, and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead client engagement, including negotiations and contract management
- Build, maintain, and expand strong client relationships and networks in Norway
- Review ITTs and define winning proposal strategies, including technical solutions, pricing, and risk evaluation
- Drive and actively contribute to high-quality proposal development and approvals
- Contribute to the execution of the regional commercial strategy, by providing local market insight
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across existing and emerging markets
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and client needs to inform strategy
- Provide senior guidance and support to the local commercial team, while operating as part of the regional commercial/BD function
- Represent Fugro in client meetings, industry events, and trade shows
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within the Marine Site Characterisation industry or a related offshore segment
- Proven experience in sales, tendering, contract negotiations, and/or business development
- Strong geotechnical, geophysical, seismic or offshore operational background may compensate for limited commercial experience
- Fluent in English and a Scandinavian language (written and spoken)
