Senior Billing Analyst

Yext is searching for a Senior Billing Analyst to join our growing India Operations Center (IOC) as part of the global Finance Team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring timely, accurate, and efficient invoicing for complex customer segments across regions. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in billing, have the ability to work under tight deadlines, think critically to resolve complex issues, drive process improvements, and collaborate effectively with multiple teams across the organization. Reports to the Manager, Billing Operations based in IOC. 

What You'll Do

• Lead the billing review and invoice processing for complex Enterprise and Partner contracts to ensure adherence to policy standards.
• Act as the primary point of escalation for internal teams regarding complex billing inquiries; oversee and resolve highly complex billing discrepancies that fall outside of standard operating procedures.
• Manage the resolution of complex invoice disputes escalated by the Collections team or senior leadership to ensure timely payment.
• Participate in system enhancements, including scoping, testing, and documenting new billing processes.
• Lead monthly and quarterly close activities, including reporting and variance analysis.
• Oversee external audit requests for the billing department, ensuring all documentation and evidence provided meets SOX compliance standards.
• Perform root-cause analysis on data discrepancies to implement long-term solutions rather than following transactional checklists.
• Identify and drive billing process improvements and system automation initiatives to increase global efficiency.
• Review complex credit requests, ensuring alignment with company policy and appropriate management approval.
• Provide training, guidance, and knowledge sharing with junior IOC team members.

What You Have

• BA/BS Degree.
• 4+ years of work experience in Billing and Collections or other accounting-related fields.
• Proficiency with Zuora, Salesforce, and NetSuite (or equivalent ERP/Billing systems).
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Flexibility to overlap with U.S. time zones (primarily EST) during critical close periods and for cross-regional collaboration.
• Strong Excel skills; proficiency with MS Office Suite.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a remote, globally distributed team.
• Prior experience working in an international business environment.
• This role is based in our Hyderabad office and will require regular in-office presence.

• Previous experience working with a SaaS company.
• Demonstrated experience in leading billing process improvements or system implementation projects.
