In this role, you will influence our product technology compass, guide R&D efforts, and set industry benchmarks within our organization. What will you do:• Drive best in class system performance : with profound and extensive expertise in radiators, signal distribution networks, filters, materials, mechanical aspects, and EM simulation (Electromagnetic Simulation) tools, align technology, product, and operational strategies for innovative antenna solutions; create customer system value; assess maturity and cost-effectiveness of technology for product; stay on the verge of industry trends and adopt relevant developments; identify disruptive innovations and explore emerging technologies to sustain leadership.• Drive Technology Innovation : with a comprehensive system view of challenges and solutions, provide in-depth technical proposals for complex problems; assess patent value and contribute to IPR (Intellectual Property Rights) strategy and portfolio; protect and share findings to sustain continuous innovation; contribute with ideas to stimulate organizational creativity; participate in defining the direction of Ericsson's R&D activities.• Influence with Technical Expertise : impact business by influencing the whole organization and teams, as well as the customer, to materialize next generation antenna driven solutions in the market. Acts as technical lead and advisor for investigations and upper management in Ericsson.• Drive Knowledge Sharing and Collaboration: promote learning within Ericsson and across the organization; act as teacher/mentor to inspire others and enable their technical growth; develop personal competence; foster cross functional collaboration; participate in or lead communities of practice and external academic collaborations as relevant.• Drive Technology Standardization : support standardization efforts to maintain Ericsson's leadership and industrial influence; analyze concepts for input to standards bodies.
The skills you bring
Antenna Hardware for cellular systems • Comprehensive and deep understanding of the network level impact of the antenna features, which enables optimal architecture ideation and concept selection.• Extensive knowledge of market & industry requirements, Ericsson technical portfolio and competitor solutions.• Highest expert level of competence in antenna system architecture, holistically and as a sum of its sub-functions.• Exhaustive knowledge of radiator solutions for a full range of applications and goals.• Very deep competence in the design of the radiator's radiating and feeding sections, as well as environment components: cavities, directors, decoupling structures.• Top expertise in signal distribution architectures, technologies (transmission lines, materials) and component design (power dividers, couplers, phase shifters, impedance transformers, filters); to assure optimal joint performance with the antenna front side and ultimately to enable the achievement of high level KPIs.• Very high competence in the selection of and design with materials and solutions: metals, PCBs (Printed Circuit Board), dielectrics.• Perfect understanding of the mechanical aspects that enable feasible, effective component and system materialization to the highest industry standards: possibilities, performance and constraints of materials and processes.
Antenna EM (electromagnetic methods) modeling & simulation tools • Comprehensive knowledge of EM (electromagnetic methods) modeling and simulation tool possibilities that allow optimal component development.• Deep competence in feature selection for simulation enablement and acceleration, as well as issue solving.
