As part of our Patent Creation Management team within the global IPR & Licensing Organization, you will play a key role in shaping and protecting inventions that emerge from Ericsson's antenna technology research and related global initiatives. What you will do
- Interface with R&D teams in Rosenheim and globally to identify and develop patentable inventions in antenna technology
- Manage your own patent docket with accuracy and precision
- Conduct claim charting and technical analysis
- Handle invention disclosures and contribute to portfolio strategy
- Support in-house patent drafting and prosecution activities
- Act as a bridge between patent attorneys and R&D teams on technical matters
- Stay up to date with developments in European and international patent law, telecom standards and emerging technologies
- Collaborate across legal, technical and business functions in an international, cross-functional team
You will bring
- Core requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of antenna technology (or closely related electromagnetic technologies) - either through professional experience, research background, or technical expertise
- A Master's degree in engineering, physics, computer science or related field
- Either (partial) qualification as a European or German Patent Attorney OR strong hands-on technical experience with genuine interest in patents and motivation to develop IPR expertise
- Solid understanding of telecommunication technologies
- Strong coordination and communication skills, a keen eye for detail and ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy
- Substantial on-site availability at our Rosenheim location
Plus (desirable):
- Experience in patent portfolio management
- Hands-on patent drafting and prosecution experience
- Knowledge of other telecommunication areas
- Familiarity with AI-based drafting tools and modern IP workflows
- Openness to continuous learning and developing toward full patent attorney responsibilities
