Team Overview
The Consumer Interactive Analytics team provides business intelligence, operational reporting, analytical support, and investigative analysis to help TransUnion make informed business decisions. The team partners closely with Product, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and Technology stakeholders to transform data into actionable insights while ensuring reporting accuracy, transparency, and governance. This role reports into the Analytics organization supporting Consumer Interactive initiatives. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.Role Overview And Core Responsibilities
- Analyze business and operational data to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities that support decision-making.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance recurring reports, dashboards, scorecards, and business intelligence assets.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, define business questions, and translate them into analytical solutions.
- Conduct investigations related to operational, legal, regulatory, compliance, and customer-impacting issues using data-driven analysis.
- Validate data quality, business definitions, and reporting outputs to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Perform root-cause analysis on reporting discrepancies, operational issues, and emerging business trends.
- Prepare clear and concise presentations, reports, and executive summaries that communicate findings and recommendations.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics, highlighting risks and opportunities for action.
- Document analytical approaches, business logic, assumptions, and data sources to support governance and audit requirements.
- Collaborate with analytics, engineering, product, and operations teams to improve reporting processes and data accessibility.
Required Knowledge And Experiences
- 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, business analysis, reporting, or a related discipline, with demonstrated experience translating business needs into analytical solutions.
- Experience supporting operational, compliance, risk, legal, or regulatory investigations through structured data analysis and evidence development.
- Strong understanding of KPI development, metric definitions, dashboard design, and business reporting practices.
- Experience working with large datasets and communicating findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Business, Information Systems, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a related field; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
Required Technical Skills
- Advanced SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, validation, and analysis.
- Experience with business intelligence and visualization platforms such as Spotfire, Superset, or similar reporting tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis techniques.
- Working knowledge of Python or similar analytical tools for data preparation and exploratory analysis.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts, relational databases, and data governance principles.
